15 y/o Aela Mansmann from Maine was SUSPENDED for BULLYING after she posed sticky notes in her high school's bathroomwarning others of an alleged male RAPIST in their school!!

She's a sophomore at Cape Elizabeth High School and began sharing the notes in the bathrooms that said "There's a rapist in our school and you know who it is"

According to Aela, the school officials did not take her allegations seriously enough when she brought it up during a board meeting over the summer and now she and 2 other girls were suspended after leaving the notes in restrooms

They were joined by 2 dozen other students from the school who held a protest for the suspensions and said "It was a protest of these suspensions but more importantly in support of all the survivors"

The students put forth demands including more education around what constitutes sexual assault and resources for students

They had signs that read "Believe Women" and "Don't write off Rape"

She said it happened last summer when she and other students had the opportunity to speak to the board about the allegations and said "I don't feel like the response of the school was thorough. That is why we had gone to the school board meeting to express our concerns"

Superintendent, Donna Wolfrom told dailymail that they never disciplined a student for advocating their peers or their views on cultural, social and political matters and said "It is important to understand, however, that when a student's speech bullies another student, we are required by law and the school board policy to investigate and take prompt action even if that same student has also spoken out on a matter of public concern"

She is unable to comment on the accused and said they took the an exhaustive investigation and took the action that was required .

The male student was not named in the sticky notes

Well, posting notes and deliberately rumor-mongering certainly does sound like bullying. If there was any substance to the claims, the police should have been involved -- not merely school officials -- instead of pulling this nonsense.

She should've went to the cops. This action is not proper procedure and thus the punishment is justified.

Why is this up to school officials? File a report with the police.

So no one reported anything to the police? And do people really know who this guy is? Because they said he wasn't named in the notes. Either way, they probably should call the cops instead of just writing cryptic notes in the bathroom...

Making out someone to be a rapist with no proof and in the process making his life hell? I think it's more than bulling. I do not care if this girl is 15 or 98 she should actually get a harsh punishment for this.

Okay, but you can't go around telling an entire school that someone may or may not be a rapist. It's one thing if you confide to a certain certain circle of friends, but this shit is on a whole other level.

More #metoo bullshit.

Show me a police report or a proper investigation or you're full of shit. She's no survivor. She's no victim. She's just a bitch who more than likely wanted vengeance on this guy for a reason she will more than likely not be honest about.

it's probably not true at all, which is why they never went to the police.

because filing false rape charges is, uh, kind of a serious crime.

Not serious enough. Feminists are always claiming that holding women accountable for making false claims would prevent more from coming forward... No. It would prevent more fucking liars from coming forward, which would be the point.

Because the point of school is to prepare kids for adult life, and adults need to know how to not rape somebody.

No source article was cited but this is local news for me. There's a lot more to this story and I can tell you the shit will hit the fan on this I hope. Both the school and the police have been seriously negligent. There are several more girls involved in this, she's just only one of three that got suspended over it. There's been such a clamp down on this I'm suspecting a rich/politically connected boy is at the center of it.

The job of the school is to educate students in subjects they may need to know for working in professional fields someday.

It isnt the job of the school to teach morality, I mean everyone knows rape is bad. All rapists know what they are doing is wrong, they just dont care because it feels good. Same thing with murder, people know its bad they just just do it because their emotions tell them it feels good. But we dont see people advocating for schools to teach kids murder is bad do we?

About the same thing.

Now if instead a social skills class was standardized then that could be part of the class.

So are you also proposing that the schools teach how not to murder somebody courses? How not to rob people courses? How not to lie on your tax return courses? No? Why is that? Because you don't feel it's the responsibility of the schools? >_>
