I do. But I can tell you that the vast majority of stuff that comes out of China is directly from the CCP which has an iron grip on their media. So it's pretty much useless. But hey, you can go around and check third party sources or even just pay attention to things like how they've handled the Belt and Road in other nations and things like their bonkers censorship laws, knock-offs protected by the government, and so-forth aren't even secrets.

You say that, but you forget the US's rural woes, among other problems.

Are you seriously trying to compare a small mid-western town in the U.S. to the stuff out in China?

Well, China isn't destablizing entire regions of the world via its machinations and running a drone program that routinely murders even civilian children, so you might have a point. That said, when it comes to the US and China, it's less a matter of which-is-worse than it is very different kinds of bad. Kind of like a Freddy vs Jason thing. And, of course, it's worth noting that the US imprisons more people than *China* despite being a quarter of the size.

If you think small mid-western towns are the extent of America's rural woes, you have absolutely no fucking clue how bad things are. In fact, given that you're bringing up the midwest, you aren't even looking in the right fucking region (although even there you have some areas without electricity, regular post service, etc).

This is almost definitely false, China just lies about it. There's at least a million people in internment camps China pretends don't exist.

While the rest is speculation, I'll concede that China is less-than-honest with what it reports.

wtf? Because why, Bligh or Mead lied about that? I've consistently and vocally opposed the brunt of our activities in the Middle East -- especially our disastrous drone program -- for years and, as people repeatedly note, every ideological test I've ever taken has put me as a left-leaning centrist.
