A ticket in OKC = ~12.00
That same ticket in Austin = ~16.00 NYC = 20< If you can find a matinee (my closest matinee is like $5.00 and I love them) or a theater that carries slightly older films, that's your best shot. Depends on where you live, what time you go, and whether or not you're doing 3D or IMAX showings. They can be as cheap as $7-$8 in my area for a non-3D new release in the morning.

I've never paid more than 8 dollars for a ticket, and that's with seeing a movie as soon as it releases.
