Like, actually conservative -- the NRA likes him (I think; he had a 93% score from them in 2015 when he first ran) and he's anti-abortion

come on guys its pretty interesting, there aren't many democratic politicians that can get away with these positions any more
I think one reason for it is that there are a lot of Catholics in LA so even democratic activists there are likely to be softer on abortion rights --- But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. ... Wanted to cut education and hospital funding to deal with the deficits...a big no no.
