https://www.businessinsider.com/jeremy-corbyn-could-be-made-prime-minister-under-plan-snp-2019-9?r=US&IR=T

Basically the gist of what's going on is that after expelling 21 party members and having a defection, Johnson is now leading a Minority Government.

Apparently he was advised that the expulsions would lead to another election being called (which they thought he'd win...somehow), but the other parties outsmarted them and are delaying the election until after October 31st (Brexit deadline).

Parliament earlier passed a law saying that Johnson cannot legally force the No-Deal Brexit on the 31st and has to ask the EU for another extension if a deal is not reached by October 19th.

Currently he's wasting time trying to find a way to get around that law and still be able to force the No-Deal.

The best possible option for all opposition parties at this point could be to unite to oust Johnson and install Corbyn as the temporary PM, with the sole purpose of obtaining the Brexit delay and then calling a general election after.

This is batshit insanity.

I can't see it happening. The Lib Dems won't go for it, and even some in Labour probably won't. And not to forget the now independent former Tories. Also Change UK - The Independent Group (looool), the most forgettable of the lot.

The SNP may push for something in return w.r.t. independence, which could also scupper it (or it might work if Corbyn is desperate enough?). Although knowing the SNP at the moment, they won't press the advantage. Their immediate priority is to take (a no-deal) Brexit off the table (which some in the independence camp see as a tactical error).

Cue the shouts of "coalition of chaos!" again.

3 years of blocking brexit and somehow blaming the right for not getting it through is ridiculous

Corbyn is the worst possible conclusion, and that includes hard Brexit.

Corbyn is the biggest piece of shit in UK politics, Johnson included. Everything about the man is bad.

Really, even if he's only in power long enough to delay Brexit, and call a General Election?

Bankrupt yourself and your empire to successfully stop and defeat the germans so they can decide your policies for the next 100 years

Sounds like a plan to me

The same reason any other country joined them, because they felt the pros of joining outweights the cons of joining.

Because I don't trust him to just do that. He's a snake and should never be in any position of power above what he already has.

Put it this way, if someone was suggesting putting Trump temporarily in charge of business regulations and his only job was to schedule a meeting, would you trust him?

Yes, I would, assuming like in this case with Corbyn, that Trump can be kicked out as soon as he tries to overstep his role.

Why does it have to be corbyn? If it's literally just that, make it any other member of the minority parties that's pulling this maneuver.

They've already voted him to be leader twice, furthermore leadership elections typically take several months, so they don't really have time to do one.
