Rarely need anything more than basic maintenance to keep them going. Then save your money. But if you really want a specific new car go for it. If you work hard you should be about to buy what you want. In the past few years I went from making 35 to 60 to 80 to 100k a year. I really wanted a brand new cool car but thought better of it. I live in an area with a high cost of living and wanted to be able to save money so I could do things I enjoy, not throw it all away on one thing that I don't really need.
