What's wrong with Lucina?

She's not a main character so it's weird she was even added to Smash.
She's playable in the second half and it doesn't switch to her perspective like Lyn to Eliwood or Sigurd to Seliph.
You never get to play the game in her perspective and it's not like Alm and Celica where you switch or Hector where you unlock her perspective.

She is not a main character and yet she was added to the game because she is girl Marth so she was really easy to implement development wise

She's basically just a side character with dialogue in the plot.
It's like if they added Hilda to smash bros lmao

Lucina has the exact same moveset, frame data etc as Marth, she just doesn't use tippers. She's basically a glorified costume.

Corrin... is the worst. If you like their moveset so much, they can just replace them and give someone else more deserving their moveset

I would love Claude in Smash so much.

I think it would be Edel or Dimitri over him, but still.

Any other mage could take their place

She benefited from recency bias and smash bias when that poll was made. She's not anywhere near that now.

Not to mention, she lost choose your legends. To Lyn, who is not in Smash.

it seems that way in the game at least. Camilla gets a ton of alts, wins all the gauntlets etc.

I swear characters like Roy, Lucina, Robin are only popular from Smash. Roy came in 4th in choose your legends and let's be honest, it's not because of Fire Emblem 6. That game is not popular. Not in Japan and it never even came here. He's popular because of Smash Bros culture

I just want them to add the Monster Hunter Hunter. ;_; Preferably with mixed weapons, depending on the moves used. Or any spear wielder, ffs. Spears are so cool. I want to say Lyn but the FE saturation really is freakin' high.

Robin and Corrin are the best FE characters in Smash.

Considering we have Rathalos as a boss already, I support this. I would like mixed weapons too, though they might just go with Great Sword. It's on most of the box art as the signature weapon for the series.

If he's basing this on Heroes, then Marth is notoriously unpopular.

They have a poll every year and the four most popular character get alts.

For the first year Ike had 50,000 votes (combining both versions), Lyn had 49,000. Lucina and Roy came in third and fourth.

For the second year, Hector came in first with 38,000 votes, Celica came in second. Ephraim and Veronica came in third and fourth.

Then for the third year Alm got 62,000 votes, Micaiah got 54,000 and Camilla and Eliwood came in third and fourth.

Marth came in 7th in the last poll, of a poll where 8 other characters were already banned

making him the ~15th popular character in the series of THAT time.

This was before Three Houses came out. It goes without saying Edelgard, Dimitri and Claude are all more popular than him too

And Heroes still doesn't add my Erk. :(

Honestly, I saw an idea for Byleth that I'd love: Have them play as a Pokemon Trainer-esque character "teaching" Claude/Edelgard/Dimitri, which you can switch between.

Will it happen? I doubt it. But I'd love it.

They're almost certain to be in Season Pass 2, given Sakurai's raging boner for Fire Emblem.
