mrduckbear 09/19/19 11:02:02 PM #1:	A lot of people say Justin Trudeau is finished after that "brownface" scandal and conservatives are harping on the attack because they needed a silver bullet after polls say they are deadlocked. It has been known that liberal voters are more likely than conservative voters to change their votes to other parties and they are good at trolling left voters to splinter the liberal vote. Looking back at Trump and Bernie voters is a good example..trump said bernie should run as an independent after what Democrats did to him and Berniebros voted for Trump cause they hated feminism. Scandals hurt liberal politicians moreso than it does conservative politicians..just look at Steve King..a self admitted white surpemacist and racist but he still wins numerous times. Doug Jones barely scraped by that win in Alabama after conservatives chose to stay at home rather than vote for a democrat despite Roy Moore's pedo scandal After Trump went full racist and said "go back to where you came from" and "there's good people on both sides",if he still wins the election despite all that, what does it say about voters?. This is what conservatives are good at though. They are good at changing the mind of liberal voters to choose "morals" over "issues" which ironically conservatives don't preach themselves given trump's "religious morals" but it's about the win. A recent poll also suggested that 50% of voters believe that Trump IS Racist but that his policies doesn't reflect his racism..with that in mind, maybe that's why the election is still very close to american voters.. This trudeau situation will be a test on the left vote. most people don't consider blackface or brownface as racist as "context" is what matters. He could totally win again, and as the sitting president honestly has the advantage no matter what his % approval polls may say. I don't know how many Bernie voters went and voted for Trump....that seems pretty fucking stupid and self-defeating. This Bernie voter went for Gary Johnson, but if I lived in a battleground state I would've held my nose and voted for Her, of "I'm with her" fame (what a terrible idea for a slogan...). If you didn't like Hillary there was no need to vote for Trump vs. third party or leaving that field on the ballot empty. I can kinda, kinda, understand how some people were willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Racism isn't a deal breaker to some people. He isn't getting the benefit of the doubt this time, we know how awful he is. He isn't going to get the benefit of the democrat base just staying home regardless of who becomes candidate.
