For those who aren't familiar with this quick catch trick, it's very helpful: https://youtu.be/ROqjZqyPT0E Once you've go that down, you can take advantage of another trick to make sure you never waste another Pokeball on a dead or missed throw. I only got to do one Weezing raid, because the other two gyms near me had other raids going at the time. I tried to take on another Rocket Leader. Last time I eventually beat Sierra, and then later beat her again on my first try. I went with 3200 CP Metagross, 3400 Kyogre, 2800 Mamoswine. Metagross died to Meowth burning one of Clifs shields, Kyogre finished off Meowth, burned the second shield against Sandslash and killed it with a low amount of hp left via fast move, and then got the hydro pump off immediately to one shot Infernape. --- "It's unpleasantly like being drunk." Which is why it helps if you lead with a Pokemon with a high-EP generating fast move and a 3-bar charge move. Just find one over lv30 with half-decent IVs. If it's a 35 with 9atk, that's the equivalent of a lv32 with 15 attack. Then you have the extra candy towards evo'ing another one. Some clarification on the buddy system from what I've experienced/heard: - you don't have to hit a Pokestop that you've never hit before to get a heart; just one that you haven't hit that day.
