I beat games, I like to score trophies. If I complete stuff awesome, but I uh also am perfectly fine getting my single player stuff and bailing. heres the ole StingX2 trophy creed

#1 Goal Beat the Game
#2 Do All sidequests, Collectibles, dumb grinding within reason
#3 If I don't like the game don't waste time doing 100%, get the reasonable trophies and bounce
#4 Skip online unless its relatively easy. Just not worth the time.
#5 New Game + is highly doubtful, Difficulty stuff is almost always a no. NG+ is sometimes fine, but mostly NG+ and higher difficulties suck all the fun out
#6 Time Trials, Speedrunning, and Challenge modes are worth trying but usually out of a skill range.
#7 The Platinum is cool but getting what I can in games without breaking one of these is the goal

I didnt list Destiny 2 since I was doing that in coop and my coop partner started failing his college math course in a whopping 3 weeks so hes banned himself from gaming. So thats kinda dead

Monster Hunter World Iceborne *minor spoilers*
My approach to this insanity has been
-Do story missions until the next Optional Leveled quests unlock
-Do all the optional quests from the previous rank
-Repeat

Its gotten me both a lot of parts, and a lot of MR and some hidden exp for something coming in the later half of the game.

Bailing on Longswords pure damage factor for elemental damage was a huge win, Im still outclassed by the insect glaive swarms out there but I'm back to dealing damage!

So far of the new monsters
Beotodus: Great look, annoying to fight cause hes a beyblade
Banbaro: I love this chill ram monster, hes a pushover though
Viper Tobikadachi: Block the poison and hes an easy fight but hes still relentless and never sits still. Mad respect
Coral Pukei Pukei: Had a feeling this guy would be a joke and he is. The Water damage can hurt but hes terrible at aiming it.
Nightshade Paolumu: If you don't block sleep this fight is a nightmare. Block sleep and this is fight is easy but man is he cool to look at. He also hilariously will now inflate himself, and pinball out of the area across the map in a panic like team rockets blasting off. its hilarious to see
Barioth: Oh man how many times did they clone Tigrex? This guy is a menace and really kinda deflating by yourself

Best Old Monster with a New Move: Uragaan, hes now a flaming tire. its hilarious.

Monster Hunter World Iceborne *minor spoilers*
To make this new fire sword I needed Anjanath fangs in low rank. So I scummed that for a bit and got it, upgraded up and now I need Fang+ in high rank. -__-

So I moved the story on a bit as optionals were switching between Rathian and Anjanath over and over.

Narcuaga: Is a panther bat like monster, it extended its tail like mr fantastic in a somewhat comical way. He wasn't too bad with bleed protection
Glavenus: This thing was kinda a menace. He lights his tail on fire which is a giant sharp blade and when he wants to just swipes for OHKOs. Weirdly enough the rest of his fights kinda silly easy.

Next up is Tigrex and Brachydios, the tigrex will not be fun

Yakuza Zero
Started Yakuzo Zero cause well Its been staring at me on the dashboard. I have zero clue whats going on with this games budget. Is it high? is it low? At times its some of the best animated stuff out there and then what I'd take as pivotal scenes are almost flip book they are so low budget. Its bizarre but almost feels purposeful or maybe times are tough for Sega.

The fighting is awesome, and I peaked at the challenge list/accomplishments for quest rewards. Man I could get real lost in this game.

Beaten Game: Lego Marvel Vita

This has been something I've tried off and on since

Yeah 3 years ago. Yeesh. This game is dubiously very tough. Unlike other lego games when you die you fail the level. Most of the levels are timed, and the objectives for gold bricks are not very straightforward. Which is awful cause you need X amount of bricks to unlock the next stage. The final stage required 260/500 and that can be quite a mess. Why is that?

Well it does share the thing in common with most lego games where certain characters have certain abilities that open levels up. Unlike the console Lego games (or even any other handheld lego game) you can pick one unique character in free play and get assigned a partner to prevent softlock. This means you may need a telekinetic for one objective and a stretchy character for another. The beauty of Lego games has always been not being locked into a certain character like Mr Fantastic to stretch thru grates because you also can have Antman or Sandman or Vision have the same function or do I dare say multiple abilities.

Unfortunately the only really common ability is flight, an ability you will likely only see in free play mode. Because flight breaks every level and turns it from a 3 min stage into a 30 second stage. Other abilities are scarce or even crazier limited to a single character. This game has 91 characters...how is this an issue? They cram a ton of Spiderman, Wolverine and Ironman variations to mock out the cast. Yep.

Go In A Grate: Mr Fantastic, Sandman

What makes this game from chore to relatively easy to platinum? You get immortality by beating the game. I honestly wasn't expecting it considering the slog this was to get through but all of a sudden I found myself jumping from 260 bricks earned over 3 years to 420 in a few hours. Insanity

This is an indie adventure game, I think it may have been on mobile first. Arts good, premise is interesting but it felt like 1/4th of an adventure game. Almost nothing answered and boy the last cutscenes art was REAL BAD! Oof

Catchup time

Beaten Game: Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn
This game is fantastic. For some reason when it came out on the Wii I just wasn't interested at all. I played a few levels and went ok? But this version makes it more kirby like adding in some abilities like cutter and sword just yarn themed. IIRC there are about 6 of them in all and they really make this game more lively. It also helps with the pacing of the game because unless I needed too...I walked the entire game!

By the end of this game I had such high appreciation for it with my one gripe being how falling in a pit just wrecks your bead counter....and that is fine for stages with seldom pits but later worlds have a few stages that are living pits. Otherwise this game was great, the music and graphical combo here, surprisingly amazing boss fights. Yeah this is one of my top kirby games

Beaten Game: Mario Tennis Aces
And now for a game I didn't like at all. Aces is gorgeous and has great Toad commentary. Otherwise this game was just not good. I'm appreciative they brought back a story mode for Tennis with RPG leveling but the game ends up being a series of semi busted mini games, rigged tennis matches, and boss battles that look fun but are no fun to play.

The game also focuses on the zone shot. It lets you slowdown time to chase a ball (eh), hit R on a spinning star pad to go into a first person mode to cheat shot an easy point (necessary but eh), or at a full meter do a sick animation and get an over the top point. On paper this is great but the AI shows you why this blows fast, you can build meter quickly and a fun tennis rally is quickly butchered by you guessed it.....SUPER SAIYAN TENNIS POWERS.

Most of my AI tennis matches consisted of trying to block their zone shots so we could just play normal tennis for 10 seconds. If you fail to hit the ball at all the AI gets a point. If you try to block and hit too early or too late, your racket takes damage. Miss three times (this can happen in literal seconds with the way the AI spams) and your racket breaks. In some minigames this can be game over, in others you get 4 rackets to burn thru. Either way why?

The most fun I had with the game was during the doubles and single finals in the storys tournament. Yes the AI had powers but I actually got brief moments of tennis....before they zone shotted constantly.

The servers are closing so I finally decided to look at this game PS Plus gave out many moons ago. WOW its pretty good! BUT I see this game kinda becoming AWFUL the second the online WAR portion goes away. Money, exp, rare equipment are so easy to get in WAR but offline can be well a pain. I'm setting myself up for a platinum but no telling if I'll beat the game and run. its hard to say what this game looks like after WAR shuts down.

At this point I'm just down to making an all skills Valkyrie and RE-fighting the hardest bounty head. I'm at the point of just playing this when watching a show cause I don't need to pay much attention to this.

Tekken Tag Tournament HD
Played thru this yesterday, its aged? I dunno old tekken just doesn't feel as free flowing as modern tekken, its a lot like old MK Vs New MK. Sometimes old games don't hold up. I have every trophy now except time attack, hardest arcade mode, and survival. I actually got a small blister from this lol

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue
This was on the Hybrid disc so I tried it out for the maybe easy trophies. Its uh quite a thing. Devil Jin, Devil Kazuya, Alisa, and Xiaoyu....thats the roster. I guess this was a demo for TTT2? There was also a movie associated with this that I watched years ago, had no clue it was connected to this.
