If I turn on the TV and let them watch some shows... they become... whats the word... different. A little less calm... a little less nice... a little less respectful. --- :) ... Copied to Clipboard!

It varies. My son can watch a few hours of his favorite show and be fine. But if he watches some YouTube and they're obnoxious? He's obnoxious
It makes things worse if he's had his cell phone for a long time. He's 16 so he's got work to get done before he can have his phone. Once he gets it, he's ON IT. I try to minimise TV time for my 4 month old. She always wants to look at the screen whether it be a phone or the TV but after seeing what Op described in some of our friends/family with young kids and how it's almost like an addiction, we're trying to fight that. Probably doesn't help that we live in a small apartment and when we first moved in I thought it was a good idea to buy a 75" TV and a 49" computer monitor though.
