Did the Tactics draw pretty much just for the chance at Ramza's chain but not surprisingly didn't get it, got a dupe Ovelia USB2. Yesterday I got Ace's OSB.

Maybe 2 as well for Emperor Awakening/chain but I kinda feel done on that realm (which is quite a change of pace since that used to be my worst realm )

I'm a sucker for cheap pulls, but I won't have the mythril for the pre-fest LDs, much less anything for Claire's Sync, if I pull every LotR.

That said, I will skip XV, XIV, VI, and IV for sure. Probably skipping III and XI.

Another 5* magicite taken down. Quetz mastered in 26.28. I'm sure it could be faster, but I just tossed a team together, and it took a while to get the DPS going.

Used Larsa as my healer because of the astra glint, and the astra insta-USB. In this battle, Quetz only used savage thundaja once, in phase one, which the astra blocked. Depending on how long the paralyze lasts, and who I put there, may be able to bring in a better healer. Noctis and Bartz took a while to get going, as Tyro was my entrust bot but he had to use both godwall and AASB before he could entrust.

As mentioned, I'm sure there's a more efficient way to do this, but as soon as Bartz got going (USB1 -> AASB), his doublecasts and chases were incredibly destructive. Noctis was good secondary DPS with gigant swing, after grand charging, as well.

That makes 7/16 mastered and sub 30ed, Madeen being the only magic-effective one I've done. Just Mateus and Syldra left for physical-effective.

I got Ramza's glint off the daily today! Would have been better to have gotten this before I beat Holy weak Odin but oh well. Maybe it'll be useful for Diablolos.

Brothers summon is FINALLY coming tonight, I've been waiting for that since I got Rydia's Awakening so like two fests ago? It should have been three weeks ago but they skipped an event for the Black Friday stuff and moved XI back by two weeks in the order. Now it'll be time to finally do Earth weak Odin.

Holy crap, my new and improved earth team just completely shredded Odin on the first attempt. 26.95 which is 6-7 seconds faster than my time on any of the other six elements I beat. Terra's meltdowns were doing plenty of damage to break rage even though she doesn't have en-earth. Having three awakenings (and allegro con moto / Elarra USB) makes all the difference because you don't need to refresh your chain and then you have a high chain count in phase 3 instead of a low one.

I did FFXIII RoP and I got Raines' enDark LMR. Not an awakening but not bad either. He definitely needs infusion and it should make Madden farming a bit easier.

I was going to get brothers and I had the crystals ready to r5 it, but since I already beat earth weak Odin I dunno if I really need to anymore. Rydia is like the only character that can make good use of it against Ramuh because of the her enEarth, but since I don't have her Awakening apparently Krile with her USB3 is the next best option...

I think I'd rather just save those summon crystals for Dark Ixion.

Definitely save until you can use it. Rinoa can also use Brothers if you're planning to draw on that banner, though. Although I just noticed Rinoa's earth awakening is really weird.

Rinoa's the best earth mage in the game so she's going to be more likely using Chain Stonja or Meltdown, especially with her dualcast black magic.

If I can scrounge enough mythril for the fest I'll use it towards Lighting's synchro banner since I think it'd probably be wiser to tackle Leviathan since he seems much easier and I have Prompto's chain (and I need better enLighting DPS than Kain and Reno.)

Edit-Also I had no idea Cloud of Darkness was getting her Awakening/AOSB/dualcast LMR next fest as well! Oops well I take back what I said about her being a liability, but I don't think I should invest in her anyway despite the chain since Alexander is apparently really easy and I can get Seph Awakening/AOSB/LMR for free on 5th anniversary.

I keep thinking about whether I should try to draw on the Earth Chocobo banner. Mostly because I could really use Red XIII's G+, without it he's can only contribute damage until Ramuh uses one earth diffusion and then he's almost useless aside from refreshing the chain. None of his other SBs are useful at all except his USB2 which isn't in the lens shop. The problem is the banner has a lot of duds since I don't want Machina and I don't need either chain. Tifa's stuff would be fine though. What should I do?

I'm looking at going through some torments, and Ive somehow accumulated awakenings for Kain, D Cecil and P Cecil. Of course theyre all different elements, but with realm chain, I should be able to beat Calcabrina? I have Rosa USB1 for healing as well

Yeah, that should definitely be enough to win that fight. I use multiple elements in most of my torment teams.

Multi elemental teams are fine in torment as long as they are good at building chain count with quickcast, chases, ability double ect. Some realms like T-0 and XII have a hodgepodge of elements anyway.

If there's too many dupes or unnecessary relics you probably should just wait for a better banner. Can't you use Red XIII as an entrustbot instead? I know it sucks not using an Awakening but the enelement restriction is probably too much of a hurdle for Red to go DPS anyway.

I could, but I already have Tyro on my team and I don't really need that many soul break bars. Once someone goes into Awakening mode you usually don't want to waste a turn to have them do anything other than spam abilities for the next 15 seconds. By that time they build plenty of gauge to do whatever they need to do next.

You can still use that meter to stack usbs, glints or BSBs for infusion or damage boosting. I've seen vids of Enna Kros destroying Ramuh when she has her USB +Awakening and glints (though you probably don't have anything for that character.)

Did the first crystal tower Ive done in a while, mainly because I forget until the last minute and then dont want to make teams for it. Did each floor with a same-realm team. What I found out was that I have at least a USB for almost everyone relevant in FF2. May want to give that torment a try too

Enna Kros is one of the consolation prize on the Rinoa banner so that is good to know. Although, her USB isn't there. I guess I will just wait and see what I get and what I can do with it.

I did make a couple attempts at Ramuh just to see what I was up against. Staying alive was tough, I hope I can get Elarra's awakening, or another healer's. Kinda wonder if Y'shtola's bUSB would be better for this fight actually since I'm using a magic team.

FF XV D??? Deadeye down in 22.78!

Man, Noctis's AASB combined with ripping plasma and Prompto's chain, not to mention the 50% crit damage buff from the second cast of butler's cooking, is disgusting. Aranea USB + impulse dive put in work as well. Only issue was Iris's healing, as I only had her BSB. That incubus horn strike thing hitting for over 9k almost murdered Noct, but thankfully he survived, launched his AOSB, which left Deadeye with a sliver of health. Thought I was doomed, but survived his next attack (Iris healed instantly after that first incubus move), and still had enough of the AASB left that the next ripping plasma killed him.

That makes two torments sub 30ed (Jenova being the first). I got just over 40 seconds on Queklain, though haven't gone back to do that one in a while. Should be able to sub 30 him. After that, I have no idea. Still going through the 5* magicite thing. Subbed Rosa in for Larsa, as her USB1 does the same thing that Larsa's does (blinks savage thundaja instead of just astra blocking the paralyze effect), except that it blinks a few later attacks as well, and she can still wrath it. I have Maria's USB, enearth LMR, and now chain stoneja, so going to try King Behemoth soon.

King Behemoth down in 38 seconds, then 37 the second time.

This involved a bunch of trial and error, and not being able to replicate the first clear either. Not having an awakening magic earth related wasn't great, and Maria's USB ate through chain stoneja quite quickly. Needed to break savage so that savage thunderstorm wouldn't murder both Maria and Rydia (she used bUSB). Used Elarra as healer. Technically I only need two more clears, then inherit an empower and an hp boon, and it's good to go, but still, quite annoying. First magic-effective 5* magicite clear aside from Madeen (though dark mage Sephiroth is OP in that fight).

God I wish. Only other thing I could think of for myself is bringing in Terra AASB instead of Rydia. It's off-element, but once it starts, it should still do decent earth damage. Still gotta kill this fucker two more times, then I can likely look at Geosgaeno, once I ponder what magic lightning options I have. At least I have both Desch's and Garnet's gen 2 magic chains.

I would definitely try that. Terra should do good damage with meltdown as long as her magic is high enough (grab a artifact earth rod or magic earth dagger if you have enough artifact stones.)

IX torment sub-30, that's 12/17 down! The ones I have left are I, X, XII, XIII, and XV. All except 1 have some good stuff on the fest banners I'm planning to draw on so hopefully I'll be able to take down a few more soon.
