This wasn't an exciting win, we scored 1TD and a bunch of field goals...and a safety. But it was a shutdown win, we had the cowgirls offense offtarget the whole game. Late they almost scored a fly route td, but my CB mike Hughes just managed to force a drop. whew.

At some point I am gonna likely upgrade to madden 20. Waiting for a deal or this franchise to crash (its happened before in previous years).

This years madden redoes the draft system as its essentially 99% garbage even in the first round, kinda crazy as just a few years ago it was 50-50 on success vs bust players. The other big changes I care about is the salary cap is more realistic, and they removed the bug I have currently where I cant sign any players for no reason. Finally traits. Players can be normal, quick, star, or superstar. Madden 20 adds a X Factor Superstar for those historic players that do things normal humans or even most hall of famers couldnt do (see Mahomes when healthy). The real big thing about this is these status traits are development traits, players higher on that ladder develop faster or are more likely to make clutch plays when things get tough and rough. In Madden 19 you can have a 25 year old Patrick Mahomes at Superstar, he wins the superbowl and then at 26 the game drops him to Normal. Its kinda broken and they fix this in 20.

Unfortunately it doesnt seem they messed with the record books this in M20 and its untouched from M19. Currently you cant see team records, and once players retire they vanish forever. The game doesnt even tell you who makes the hall of fame, its so backwards from even a few years ago.

Things Ill do for Madden 20 chise in the future
-Everyone here will get first dibs before I do a signup, this isn't gonna be now unless EA offers some bananas sale. (In 2017 they dropped madden to $20 a few months after launch for one weekend for some reason so it has happened)

-Get B8 Rookies in on year 1 so they can unseat some real players or fight their way in, at the moment the B8 rookies aside from like 2 just instantly became #1 because the talent retired in the nfl and the draft provided nothing

-I've always tracked QBs started but im gonna track Top Rusher, Top Receiver, and Top Defender year to year. Stats woo

-Speaking of stats, any B8 Rookies that Go QB gonna track who they throw TDs too, WRs what QBs throw them TDs, and B8 Defenders who they pick off.

Eagles 28 @ Cardinals 7

Cards lined up Christian Kirk and @Fastbreak , I knew the offense was gonna be a problem. I had to play near perfect to stop them. And Everett Elias being a bad QB helped, hes really bad. He did get one 70 yard bomb to Kirk I couldnt stop. I lucked out Elias was so bad because once he started throwing to Fastbreak they kept creeping to the endzone.

I still cant sign anyone and my #1 WR Will Gordon is just not performing well, hes getting constantly injured. This was fine in 2019 when I had Alshon and Agholor but as my #1 guy hes been kinda absent. My #2 guy Carson Casey has been fantastic but ....hes one of the players I cant resign. My WR core looking bleak suddenly.

This was a tale of two halfs. First half the Vikings picked off Wentz twice, once by @beavis666x2, and we were down 13-0 at halftime. Then the second half was all Eagles, including a beautiful diving catch on a desperation throw in the endzone. Once I threw it I was like damn thats a pick but hey sometimes it works out.

The weirdest play of the game, 4th and 5. The Vikings are down for the first time all game 21-16, they are on the 50 yard line and they fake punt pass....it went awful. I was stunned and could have been screwed but the Punter threw a duck.

Wentz really had a safe game for me. No INTs but nothing really deep opened up ever as the Bears def was great at protecting mid and deep but not short. They also sucked at rush def, my HB Tyler Reid went 15 for 191 yards and 2TDs wow!

Bears have a sick offense though, I held them back and really both times I picked off Mitch Trubisky is because of wild deflections that bounced my way

This game was kinda nuts, lets break it down

A.All three of my HBs were knocked out of this game so I had to have my FB be the primary runner. He was bad.

B.The Packers defense is insane. They even have my old Safety Aleon Cleveland who is doing pretty good here! I can't think of another time a defense caused me to go 4 and out at the goal line. Punishing.

C.Sheens AI was a bit strange. He was fine and passed as well as I'd allow, my pass defense is also shutdown. But at times he scrambled backwards to try to throw and thats when I got him. We sacked him 6 times in this game

D.I have had games with safeties before but never 2. The first I got by coffin corner punting putting the Packers on the 1>. The halfback got the handoff and DE Derek Barnett took him out for 2 points. The second came actually after they forced a turnover on downs when I was at the goalline. I Blitzed one player, my CB Ronald Darby and got Sheen in the endzone.

Steal Sheen 14/17 for 193 yards, INT, Sacked 6 times

So props to the Packers they are scary. But the cowboys lost so I clinched the division. This means I'm playing for the #1 seed but I'm gonna play a bit conservative. I've been close the past few years and then get hit with an injury that kills my playoff run. So I'm hoping to avoid this.

I have never seen this before, Madden did a revenge game against me. I let go of WR Dillon Ambrose in the offseason, he signed with the Broncos and to this point played 2 snaps all season. So imagine my surprise when he came in as the #2 WR in this game and destroyed me

????. Mind you the Broncos only had 290 yards of passing offense period!

This was a tough game but we stayed alive and made only small mistakes thankfully.
