Well, theyre both great but scratch very different itches.
Odyssey is a great collectathon open platformer, a worthy successor to Mario 64, Banjo, DK64, etc. Tropical Freeze is a side scrolling true PLATFORMER with all the difficult timing and jumps you would expect --- -Shred ... Copied to Clipboard!

Mario Odyssey is a super fun and charming game and very long if you wanna collect all the stars.

Between the two, TF. But I just prefer that style over Odyssey in general. Shovel Knight too, if you haven't played that.
