If you want to actually understand the case, you do..

The show draws very obvious attention to anything that needs to be paid attention to. Conan has his insights directly after he asks questions to himself, signifying something onscreen (or at least, in his field of view, or current train of thought) in the past few seconds was linked to it. A number of schticks (like ice being used as a time-delay activation of a trick) are reused but reexplained every time.

It's so formulaic that dialogue flow alone can tell you which parts are ok to pay half attention to and what moments actually need full attention.

Been playing more Eiyuu Senki. If you've played Sengoku Rance, it's kind of like that, but you're trying to take over the world in this one, rather than just Japan. It has a ton of girls. It's pretty long too. Think I'm over 150 turns in so far. Pretty damn long eroge.

Good game. Better art (Ooyari Ashito is literally the only artist I know the name of because his art is so damn good; other works by him are Period and Littlewitch Romanesque) but worse gameplay imo. Rather than Sengoku Rance it feels a lot more like another Alicesoft title Daiteikoku. Which is kind of like Sengoku Rance but in space with WW2 countries. Has a partial patch that's been out for like 7 years and no more progress, rip...

Rance characters (Kenshin for sure, I feel like someone else too) cameo in it, so that's pretty cool. I think a few Eiyuu Senki characters cameo'd in something of Alicesoft's too but I can't remember what.

Longest thing I ever watched was Naruto, and that was with all of the filler cut out.

By the 3rd GNW Arc I was switching back to and forth from the manga for just the non-battle portions.

Conan is definitely already the one anime I've watched the most of and I'm absolutely nowhere near done. I tend to stay away from long-running stuff too, but so few Conan episodes actually relate to the main plot anyways so it's not like there's hundreds of plot shifts waiting for me. It's kind of nice that way.

Longest for me, is One Piece. I'm through ep 750 right now. Longest finished show is Shipuuden at 500 eps.

I think the longest thing I finished was hxh at 148 episodes. Only really shonen go that long and I don't really like shonen enough to watch that long. Oh I've also seen all but the latest part of monogatari, thats pretty long in total.

Also health issues. My fingers hurt like hell from taking my blood sugar a few times. I'm not diabetic as far as I know (and doctors tested me for it) but today I got really tired and dizzy and then started shivering all over really bad for about 10 minutes. I was thinking it was a panic attack and adrenaline caused the shaking but because my grandma is diabetic I decided to measure my blood sugar when I could get up.

Well I couldn't get up for like 2 hours and I had an apple after about 45 minutes but when I did finally take my blood sugar it was down at 76. Presumably before the apple when I was actually feeling awful I was hypoglycemic. I also have low diastolic blood pressure maybe (the devide is real inaccurate on me for whatever reason).

So now I'm worried about diastolic heart failure as it explains most of whats been going on (low heart rate, panic attack symptoms, hypoglycmia, etc). Took my blood sugar again 2 hours after eating a meal and it was 100 which is quite normal so I really don't know whats going on. I've also had to fast a few times for tests since this thing started and I managed those every time even though it felt rough.

I'm thinking the really bad panic attacks where I shake might be hypoglycemia. I'm really hoping that my sudden weight loss explains most of this instead of heart failure. It seems that eating like 1k or less calories a day fucks with your bodies metabolism which can also lower heart rate and blood pressure and maybe even cause hypoglycemia? I don't know. It's gotten hard to look stuff up.

I hate how damn long it takes to get appointments man. I spend so much time trembling in fear and misery just waiting and waiting and waiting. It's been almost 4 months since this started and theres no end in sight. None of the doctors have any idea whats wrong or seems to care beyond the bare minimum requirements of their job (and even thats iffy). It's this long ass process of elimination with 1 month between steps.

At this rate I'll be dealing with this for years assuming I don't just drop dead somewhere before then knowing the whole time that they have the power to give me all the tests I could possibly need and a few hours of their time needed to figure this out and solve everything in under a week. The healthcare system is such a fucking joke. I'm tempted to just have my mom drive me to the emergency room and jog for a few minutes so I pass out in front of it and see if that gets results in my lifetime.

Sorry to just rant a bit but I'm honestly just so tired of being scared out of my mind. I feel like I'm living with a gun pointed at my head.

Oh well it might be better to just let the current season end and binge what I have left of demon slayer. Actually yeah I guess most of the stuff I'm watching doesn't end anytime soon. Ah I'm sorry to hear that but it's nice if I've been a help to her. Today was another rough one but a little less so than yesterday. Felt pretty bad but wasn't quite shaking and this time my blood sugar was a normal 96 so I'm even more at a loss. My fingers hurt like hell though. I think because of my red fingertips I bruise more easily so each spot I took blood from is black and bruised and hurts. My waiting is briefly at end though. GI doctor tomorrow at 2 if I can somehow manage to drag myself in there.

I did finally expand my diet a little to include some tuna since just eating brown rice and bananas and apples was leaving me quite deficient in protein. Eating half a can of it didn't trigger the horrible tearing pain that chicken did so presumably I can include that in my diet. I'm still only managing like 1000 calories a day. I'm really trying to up it as much as I can but rice and fruits and tuna are all practically nothing in terms of calories. I think a whole can of tuna is only 135 and a meals worth of rice isn't much more. Definitely hoping the GI doctor tomorrow can give me some more info on a lot of this stuff and hopefully schedule an upper endoscopy soon. If that turns up nothing it's time for gall bladder surgery to remove it which COULD solve a ton of my issues (or it could do nothing). I'm down to 166 lbs from my original 215 and I'm running out of weight to lose so I really need this issue resolved sooner rather than later.

Even if my heart issues persist, just being able to eat more foods and more easily get up to like 2k calories a day would probably make me feel a lot less weak and fatigued all the time. It's also only 1 more week until I get my heart tests (a whole 3 months after they referred me to a cardiologist). Considering I already knew what tests to order in the beginning (echo and event monitor, pretty standard) that entire 3 months could have been condensed into 1 day but no, that wouldn't present a high enough risk of killing me or cause 3 months of terror.

So something interesting happened to me the other day. I was waiting for a bus at the station, wearing my shirt I got working with a convention/charity last year (it had a child-drawn picture of Wonder Woman on it). I'm reading manga on my tablet when I suddenly hear "I like your shirt. ..Oh! WEEB!"

I look up and there's a girl wearing a Zelda shirt, asking me what manga I was reading. (Happy Sugar Life; idk if anyone's read it or watched the anime but it's freaking nuts.) She seemed a little surprised that I was reading something shoujo-ish since most people are just about shounen.

She was the really extroverted type; barely ever stopped talking. We discussed other subjects like conventions, Zelda apparel (I have a wallet), and she showed me some of her cosplay on her phone. We only had about five minutes before her bus came along, and she departed with a "bye, fellow weeb!"

I enjoyed her company despite being caught off guard by the whole exchange. Now, there is a part of me that potentially wants to pursue it further; I didn't get her number or anything, but we share a few Facebook friends thanks to a convention Facebook page. But I'm mostly leaning toward dropping it for a few reasons.

- common sense says it was just a random one-time encounter
- she wasn't really my type; I don't smoke and she reeked of cigarettes. And she talked about some "cool dude" who gave her some weed a few minutes ago, and I'm a huge square
- at one point she complained that said guy tried to make a move on her, because he was like 40 and she's 20. I'm 33, but that's still a big difference, and I didn't want to be a creeper

For the last point, the thing is, I don't feel my age at all. (TBH, I don't know how old I feel; I feel immature around people my own age, but occasionally feel old in different ways around young people.)

I don't know; maybe I'm overthinking it. If I do decide to find her, there's always Facebook.

Due to the big thing that happened recently in pokemon and my abundant free time I'm considering watching pokemon from the beginning. I don't think I ever watched much past the orange league. I still think it handles fantasy adventure better than any other show since every place is in some way unique and angled around the fantasy element (in this case pokemon). I wish more isekai would adopt that strategy or that we would get more actual fantasy. Speaking of which I forgot danmachi S2 was on this season and is almost over. I'll be happy to have that to watch.

If you don't sow your seed in the spring, you'll have nothing to harvest in the fall.

Honestly, you should have got her contact info and gradually worked your way into that unless she really wasn't attractive.

Some of the worst sleep of my life. Kept waking up hearing my heartbeat in my ears with chest pains. Upon measuring it my heart rate was generally in the mid 40s. I'm sooo tired still but I have my dr appointment in an hour. It'd be so nice if I didn't have to wait so long for appointments that I could actually schedule them when I know I'll be awake instead of going through this nightmare almost every time. I'll probably be doing the same thing monday with my heart stuff.

Whelp, I got more complaining to do. Had my damn doctor appointment. Barely made it cause I had a panic attack and minor but uncontrollable shaking right when I needed to leave. I do manage to make it to the car and it's tough to keep it together mentally in the car especially cause today is like 94 degrees out and heat is a big anxiety trigger for me but I make it. My mind is incredibly unfocused at this point but I'm at the doctors at least. We end up being only 3 minutes late so not a huge deal.

We don't have to wait too too long in the first waiting area, about 15 minutes, then the nurse takes me back and weighs me (still 165 lbs), and does the normal asking me whats wrong and why I'm in there thing. When we are nearly done with that the doctor opens the door and then goes "oh, I didn't realize you were still talking to the patient" and then he leaves. The nurse finished all that stuff about 1 minute later. Then we wait a fucking hour for the doctor to come back in. I'm having a damn panic attack and feel nauseous and after like 45 minutes the nurse comes in and tells us sorry for the wait but the patient that was supposed to be after us was being irate so the doctor saw him first.

WHAT THE FUCK!!! I was about ready to go out and punch someone. Guess I need to be more irate next time if I want prompt service.

The dr was apologetic when he came in and ordered the test I expected (upper endoscopy). So far no doctor has done more than a simple google search would tell you to do. Why am I wasting time with all this? That's at least scheduled on the 30th so not TOO long of a wait but that means it's at least a few weeks longer till this could be over at the earliest. Mild concern for my heart issues but of course that isn't his area of expertise so I still have to worry that I'm dying every night.

None of them seem to comprehend how time is of the essence to me. When scheduling stuff they were acting like waiting longer would be what I want. Every day is basically the worst day of my life. Why would I want more of those? It's a crisis every single day and the doctors don't seem to comprehend this on a fundamental level like I'm moving my mouth but no sounds are coming out or something. And I mean, thats best case. That assumes nothing dire is actually the matter and just my mental well being is at stake. If something actually is wrong waiting could be actively making my quality of life go down permanently or just be straight up killing me.

So yeah, basically what I've come to expect from a doctor visit. I feel like this won't end until I do enough research to solve it myself.

It's so frustrating that doctors can just be as late as they want with no penalty but as soon as I'm 15 minutes late my appointment gets pushed back and rushed or straight up canceled. I'm oddly feeling a fair bit better than i was earlier.

Just watched a silent voice which I thought was great but the ending has me a bit frustrated and confused.

It's the circle that eventually turns into light. My impression of this is his hospital room while he was in a coma and him finally dying. The parts after he woke up being a dream I guess. Thats fuckin sad if so. It seems a lot of people online had various opinions about it including some that had the same idea and I just find myself feeling very annoyed at the lack of closure I now get. I've looked at the little circle and theres no way to tell who the figures are.

Upon rewatching it and really leaning in close the figures are moving a bit kind of making it look like they are walking. The heartbeat playing louder and louder over the ending until it stops and it turns to a bright light seems to imply death though. It's possible the moving was family members over him as he died or something. I really don't want that to be the ending. What was the point of fading out everything except his heartbeat if thats not the point the though? Maybe to show his anxiety isn't affecting him right then? I mean, he was crying though and that shit jacks your heart rate up like 30 bpm (which I've unfortunately learned lately).

Arrgh! This movie with that scene exactly the same minus the circle and heartbeat would be like a 10/10 for me but I'm gonna be hung up on this for a while. Apparently the manga has a different ending that doesn't hint at death.

For Koe no Katachi, it's my favorite anime movie. I tend to take things literally, so I've never even considered that he dies from his injuries saving her. There's too much afterwards and it's from his perspective, so this further keeps me from believing he dies. I hate crybaby victim girl so much. She's the worst person in the movie by far. My biggest annoyance with the movie, is the scene where he saves her from falling. Well, right before that I guess. He wastes time struggling to get his shoes off. I know it's Japanese custom, but I feel like in a situation where time is of the essence like this, exceptions would be made. Also, my favorite scene is at the end with the "baka" part. I keep meaning to learn to sign that lol. Sorry for not writing any names, I've got a real hard time remembering names in anime anymore.

Koe no katatchi sutff. I thought he was taking off his shoes before he realized what was going on but I could be misremembering it.

It was a bit frustrating that since it was a movie (and 2 hours already) they just didn't have the time to go into the other characters at all so blonde crybaby girl gets no real justification for her actions. Ueno (black hair girl that isn't the sister) is also left with only minor development but at least we can glean a little through her actions. I tend to think of her as the most damaging of all the characters outside of blonde boy.

However, the message of the movie makes this somewhat ok I think. It shows us that behind every dick move is a person who either lacks perspective or has the perspective and hates themself. So i'd say the movie essentially says that all the characters have reasons for their actions and everyones just trying their best even if we don't get to see exactly what motivates them and how they judge their own actions.

I don't know why the ending being from his perspective casts any doubt on his possible death. The theory is that the last 15 or so minutes of the movie is his dream. Having researched a little more though it might be a tie in to the manga ending. Supposedly in that it goes on a fair bit longer than the movie and ends with main guy and deaf girl holding hands and walking through a doorway. It could have been that scene for whatever reason shown in a tiny circle but I question their decision to do so if thats the case. I also question the heartbeat and seeing the faces of his childhood friends still as children when we know full well they are grown up (and for some reason they were both under deaf girls appartment during the fireworks festival despite Ueno being at the festival and still being friends with and hanging out with those guys).

Either way I just really wish the movie had ended 10 seconds earlier. Nothing would have been lost, no one seems to understand what the circle is anyway.

So apparently Gamestop is doing a special Pro Member sale day and a lot of games are getting some pretty significant discounts. Problem is, I just found out that it's only good until the end of Sunday so I'm kinda getting anxious.

lol, I've sunk nearly 250 hours across multiple playthroughs of it back on the 360.

It's one of those games I can go back and replay and not get bored.

Plus, I've always lamented the fact that we didn't get all the added goodies the japanese ps3 version got, UNTIL NOW.

Gonna start the new Fruits Basket, since it's finished. Season is coming to a close so, yay for new things to watch. Going to keep watching Conan though. Through 71 eps so far.

Those all sound like pretty good deals. Vesperia would be my top priority if I were you but I got the new edition on steam not too long ago. I've been too sick to play it though. That game got me through almost dying about 8 years ago. All I had was my xbox 360 a bedside table and a chair for like 5 days alone when my heart decided to troll me and not beat for a little while. I've never been so immersed in a game as I was right after that and its still a special game to me.

It's a bit hard for me to go back to that combat style though. I've gotten too used to the newer more dodge and block focused combat. It frustrates me whenever I take damage but in vesperia and symphonia its just unavoidable a lot of the time by design.

I'm still slowly working my way through aria btw. 6 episodes into season 2. Such a peaceful magical show. Aqua (which I guess is mars) is honestly probably the closest thing to paradise I've seen in anime.

I intend to watch kanata no astra and danmachi 2 soon but I've been a little dizzy to get into anything longer lately. Hopefully tomorrow.

Been reading manga again and remembered *another* reason why I stopped: This shit is too addictive, plus there's that inevitable bring-down after you finish one (or a wait for an ongoing series). Plus for less popular titles, there's always that risk that the scanlation will tank in quality long into the series when you're already heavily invested.

Plus I've been lured into some stuff through recommendations after reading horror-manga. One such recommendation got me to read Kanjo wa Rokurokubi (She is a Rokurokubi), a teen slice of life comedy about a guy who is childhood friends with a long-necked yokai girl (it was generally lousy), and from there I started to read Witchcraft Works (which I got heavily invested into within 2 chapters)

For Fruits Basket I highly prefer the manga for once.

I remember renting all my volumes from the local library when I was a young teen and used to love to check out the next few volumes.

Very much dislike the new animation and if I had to watch one I would chose the older one.

As for video games I have been doing a ton of gaming.

This year I have played three really good Turn-based RPGs excessively:
-Into the Breach
-Slay the Spire
-Darkest Dungeon

Al three are exceptional games and I highly recommend all of them.
