Been keeping up with Beastars, its so good I had to switch over to the manga to fin dout what happened next. Accidentally ended up reading like 15 chapters which is way past where the anime is or going to end up.

I'll chime in with my opinion and say it's one of the best RPGs I've played in the past 5 years.

Although, it comes with a huge caveat that you must already be a fan of traditional turn-based jrpgs, or this is your first time playing a traditional jrpg and have an open mind, to really enjoy the game.

It's the best Dragon Quest has ever been so far.

Because i apparently enjoy suffering, I started another ongoing manga >_> This time it's Will You Marry Me If You're Reborn?, a slice-of-life romance which highlights moments in a couple's life together with a framing "present day" narrative joining the pieces where, presumably, <s>the couple will die at the end and then be reborn</s>

Oddly enough, I think this *might* have been something recommended after I read the most recent chapter of that crappy ero-manga about the kid who has to restrict his sexual activity because his life-draining diamonds are in his seed.

Finally just about caught up on shokugeki no souma. Since the current season isn't finished I'm just gonna stop here (just finished episode 8 of season 4) to let it finish.

Just like I was years ago, I'm bummed they took the story in the direction they did. Everything to do with azami and central is less interesting than everything before it. The fact that the last like 15 episodes are one long team shokugeki is also tedious but at least this shit is probably over when that one ends and hopefully it can get back to the more interesting parts of the show. It all feels very rushed though like theres gonna be nowhere left for our main characters to go after this ends.

I understand its kind of more fun going to class and having a school life but I still appreciate the show since I still get to appreciate all the yummy food they make.

Finally went to the specialist thats the only one in the state that deals with my type of condition. It's gonna be several months until I can get the testing which fucking blows.

Like, I'm reaching the point where it feels like I should just stop going to the doctor and if I die, oh well. I have zero confidence in this doctor and feel like it's all just a waste of time and money.

Apparently Mangarock, which I had been using to read manga, is switching to some premium service and also removing a ton of titles due to copyright issues. The most immediate problem is that one of the titles that vanished was the very one I had been reading >_>

I used to use MangaHere but I haven't used it in I think years so I don't even know if it still works or not.

I just use a combination of mangadex and lurking on r/manga o keep up with my ongoing series.

It's worked out pretty well so far, but it does also have the problem that if a series is licensed there's a 50/50 chance you won't see it discussed there.

I use Tachiyomi on Android since a lot of sources seem to be spotty on several series, like missing chapters and such. I think I'm using like three different sources for Detective Conan.

As I have said in previous iterations of this topic, I read very little manga, these days, and almost all of it is from my back catalogue of titles from the '00s, before the fall of Borders. There are exceptions like Monster Musume and World War Blue (and Trinity Seven, though I am behind on that), but not many. So much cheaper to watch anime if one is a non-pirate.

I took the medication the doctor prescribed. I feel like my recovery has been set 2 months back. I'm so fucking shaky and miserable. I don't know why I even go to the doctor's. It just hurts me and costs me money I don't have. Things were actually starting to feel better before the appointment 2 days ago. Sigh.

Now that both jaiminisbox and mangastream dropped those titles, the only way for anyone to read those is by going directly to the Mangaplus app/site which is run directly by WSJ themselves.

On one hand, it's nice that we can finally read and support manga directly and officially from the publisher and thus contribute more to the mangakas themselves.

On the other, the mangaplus app/site is still in it's growing pains and some of the translations are often directly translated and stunted with no effort to localize for western readers, or even censored in some cases.

On the third tentacle, mangaplus is free to read, so that's nice. Though I'm always dreading the inevitable paywall dropping sometime in the future because it always does.

So yeah, thoughts?

I read Bungo Stray Dogs, and uh

I am unhappy, because I thought it was a finished manga, it's not, but the last chapter was a super huge goddamn cliffhanger.

Wrestler isekai is a bit odd, going more the comedy route like Konosuba. Liking it though.

Finished up dr stone. It was great all the way through and although it didn't end conclusively, it did end with a season 2 announcement so thats pretty hype. Really curious to what the hell they'd do after the next arc though. This whole show basically has a time limit. Once he's able to make revival fluid and has no one opposing him it's a pretty straight shot to the finish. If people still remember shit, it'd actually be quite easy to recreate almost everything.

I'm catching up on the current season of my hero so I can discuss it with friends but I still don't understand why they make such a big deal about things that are weaker than guns.

They act like these power deleting bullets are so powerful and scary but it's literally less effective than an normal bullet with a much more difficult production method. I can kind of excuse that gap in logic when it comes to other powers but this is literally a gun that shoots bullets thats just patently worse than a normal gun that shoots normal bullets.

Also dumbass nighteye could effortlessly test whether his power can be altered or not. Just see someones future that you are a apart of, then do something different from what you saw. He actually had to be changing the future to beat deku in their first encounter so it's just silly.

You should be fine as long as you properly level up before getting to Zanarkand. Oh, and before you get to Luca and have to play a mandatory game of bliztball, make sure to get Tidus' special Bliztball move.

No, it's the bullets they are making a big deal of, but those special bullets are just worse than normal bullets. It does use a special gun though.

Revisiting Super Robot Wars X while waiting for Super Robot Wars T to arrive in the mail has been good fun. Makes me want to load up Hidive and do a proper rewatch of Dunbine. My only gripe is that Cross Ange is one of the included series, and neither Ange nor any of her "friends" have been made any more likable than they were in the anime.

That's a pretty huge deal considering their whole career is based on that.

Man no one posting, guess no one wants to start the new topic. So I got Dragon Quest 11 for xmas and then immediately preceded the play through hollow knight again instead because my friend got it and it made me nostalgic for it. What a great game. The path of pain seemed so much easier this time, I guess celeste chapter 9 trained me too well.

Most anime of the current season finished so I got a few things to watch, most notably vinland saga. I'm already halfway through it, just hoping it stays as good as it has been.
