now that's said... the album is amazing, especially for any long starved fans like myself. the track we already heard, the title track, is for sure the weakest (besides chocolate chip trip but that's not really something to judge) but the other 5 songs are all top tier tool tracks that we're going to be more than happy to hear live for however long tool continue to tour. i think i've settled on, for now, Descending as my favourite track, and it has to be up there among my favourite tool songs ever. 7empest and Invincible are both right there as well though.

hard to know where it ranks in all the tool albums just yet by my temptation is to say it's pretty damn high. i'm pretty sure it's not first, but i do think it's probably ahead of 10,000 Days, which is an album I love.

I'm so happy that this has lived up to 13 years of hype because I don't think anything else I've ever waited a long time for has done.
