According to definition, pedophiles are people interested in "prepubescent sex," and the folks at Perverted-Justice pretended to be 13 to 15 years old, which is after the age of puberty. A small distinction, perhaps, but one Hansen felt the need to point out publicly.

I really don't understand why people on these forums have such a hard time understanding the definition of the word pedophile. The fact that so many people see absolutely no difference at all between raping a 5 year old and having sex with a 17 year old is quite frankly disturbing.

Regardless of definitions, none of that takes away from the fact that the show was illegal and that very few if any of the people "caught" were ever actually charged. In one of the cases a judge himself called it entrapment after he threw the case out of court after only six days.

Regardless of the the 5yo vs 17yo argument, socially there is a line in the sand to what our culture defines as wrong. Defending anything by these people, as well as choosing to minimize demonetization of the individuals and their actions via word technicality, feels as though you are taking a side that is questionable to your own views and therefore possible actions. Because of this, you should probably not be on a gaming message forum with children, and maybe seek professional help, but that's just in my opinion.
