I loved Mario Tennis on the N64 and I picked up Aces on sale recently. I couldn't justify spending $60 on it. But now it's dead and I should've just paid $60 to play one of my favorite Nintendo franchises

Oh yay now that I'm C ranked I'm getting matches much quicker

I have that game, got it at launch. It's decent. The gameplay is good, but it's pretty lacking every where else

It needs more content. That's why I didn't want to drop $60 on it. Even $42 seemed steep.

I don't know what happened to Motoi Sakuraba but he just doesn't put much love into the Mario Tennis soundtracks anymore. Music is important to me in games and the soundtracks in 64 and Power Tennis were awesome. Open was good too. But Ultra Smash and Aces are forgettable. Well, the final boss theme in Aces is good actually.

I tried playing Aces, but couldn't get into it because of the annoying story mode. Sports games like tennis don't really need a story mode. Earlier Mario Tennis and Mario golf games didn't, and they were great.

I finished it during the free weekend. It's not long. A nice way to learn mechanics, I thought.

The GBA Golf and Tennis games had fun story modes.
