I can get an RTR(ready to run) for 170 USD, or get one that is good for racing that is only the body and the motor for 210, then need to be the RX/TX for 300, plus body for 50 and then wheels for I am not sure.

Kyosho MiniZ if you were wondering.

I am not sure if I would be into it or not, but at the same time I don't wanna get the RTR and then want to get the better one for racing as I can not just Up-grade it....

The biggest problem is finding a place to race. Any RC cars can be fun, but the smaller they are the faster that pebble turns into a speed bump or boulder. If you have a hobby shop nearby with a track, that would greatly improve the experience.

If you want a cheap way in because you aren't sure you'll like it, you could try to get hold of something from XMODS. They aren't as nice stock as the Kyoshos, but they start at a fraction of the cost. I have two of them, a Supra that's been extensively modified and a C6 Corvette that's mostly stock.

I think I may just go with the good one from.the start. I know I want a brushless.
