Honestly dont know how else to discourage bad behaviour. Mostly hopping up onto my cooker or the shelf where my sound bar sits or hopping onto my ironing board when Im ironing.

I quickly pull her off and give her a few taps on the head to tell her shes being bad. Not sure how else I tell her off? Either way I feel bad when I have to

Yeah my family used to do that. Not ideal of they are say sitting on top of your computer though.

Whenever my cat scratches the leather chair Ive got I just throw a newspaper at her. Shes starting to think that shes not allowed to scratch anything even though Im totally fine with her scratching the goddamned scratching post shes got! Whenever she starts scratching anything if I walk near her she bolts, in fear of flying newspapers!

my dogs I dont even have to spray them. If I point it at them they know theyre being bad and they quit it

Don't feel bad for disciplining your pets no matter how much you love them, unproperly or poorly trained pets can be an absolute nightmare to live with. That's no exaggeration.

A tap on the nose is what I used to do. Although I never used to let my cat run around the house. That's what outside is for.

Cant remember but think my grandmother used a toy slingshot. Like when I say toy I mean it literally looked like it was bought from the dollar store. Then again that could have just been cause at her age she couldnt move around quickly enough to smack them herself.
