oops sorry for the double elim

This one fares slightly similarly to the last one, having a similar mood and tone. Does do a little better because I like how stuff with this tone feels in a waltz more. The chanting is also pretty good.

awoooooooooo

initially i said that this song would be better with percussion, but the actual version with percussion isnt actually that great. the stops that kk does with his hand are great and provide enough rhythmic context anyway, now that i think about it. the best part of this song is the bridge (and following 4 bar solo i guess?), because i like chords that are not the always chords (power chord). actually, to my mostly untrained ears, now that im trying to listen for it, i dont think hes actually playing any actual chords at all outside of the bridgeit seems to all just be octaves. that kinda sucks.

i like "kk" ""slider's"" ""'hm'"" noises

i generally havent liked the limited number of runescape tracks ive heard before, definitely partially because of the fake instrument instrumentation, but also because their tone and melody didnt catch me (see: sea shanty re:tone and autumn voyage re:melody). so in terms of my preconceptions about runescape music, this exceeded my expectations i dont see it becoming a favorite or anything though, because apart from being fun to listen to, it doesnt hold up very well in terms of, say, memorability or uniqueness.
my favorite part is the section starting at 0:56 where strings hit on every quarter note. very different feel from the rest of the piece while only changing one element. very cool and nice sounding

I kinda like the idea of this song, but it...doesnt feel like theres any movement? Like its just staying in one place and not doing anything, which sucks cause I feel like this could have a lot of potential. As it is, the mood it sets is okay but doesnt change, which is part of what makes this boring for me.

Predictably my favorite part is where the harmonic line comes in on the weak beats starting at 0:37. bring back ska

wow we are in ORCHESTRA LAND. very EPIC and LEGENDARy MELODY (ok)
without any prior knowledge i assume the line at 0:36 is a recurring motif in the game ost so it wud probably sound more epic if i had any association with this.
i like the part at 1:05 that is kindof like ...atonal? i dont know music but i think that is right and if not maybe like just jumpin around music. also at 1:40 it does my favorite string instrument thing which is to do random arpeggios and slap them all together to be tense and unsettling

cool intro!! harsh synthy minor tensy runs are very nice. i really quite enjoy the eurotrance-ish feel of this (does that exist...i just made it Up)
im only like just noticing this now but the accents on offbeats thing is really fun for me...this song has it throughout which is lovely. overall super fun to listen to and something i would come back to but not like..its just not very memorable for me. afaik this is a normal battle theme so mayb if i had played the game there would be a stronger association but as it is..no (i think this a lot)

this song sounds like if yo took a 80s pop song and fed it through the bit crusher machine (not very good harmoknight). this kind of song makes me want to take a step on beats 1 & 3
the feel of the triplets running in the beginning is lovely, abnd the melody is very nice...but i wonder what they would sound like together (probably not very good
1:05 is nice because of SWUNG BEAT with TRIPLETS ADDED very cool rhythm

instrument highilights
i like the funny percussion that comes in at 0:42 like a clave cowbell sort of thing. it adds JOY
bass instrument wilding out at 1:47
follin (sunsoft) arps at 2:06

yeah i like touhou *puts a trumpet on my song that has notesw on every beat*
this is actually fake touhou because the bass is not eeeee
i like 1:34 where the bass hits on beats 2-3-4 and becomes ska (fake ska)
all things considered this is actually done p well. definitely describes the feel of a touhou. the piano lead is very good

there are a lot of cool sections in terms of instrumentation in this one but in terms of like..melodic content and overall movement its pretty stale

breakdown
intro be like: bach time (cool tense chords that walk on the organ). i also really like the piano runs in that section especially the one starting at 0:14
0:27 cool jazz with COOLEST CHORD at 0:32
at 0:35 i say oh no and the rock music begins (its okay)
rhythm in 1:03 is very cool
1:45 feels like fake 5/4 time even thouh it is real
2:02 wooooOOO instrument is cool and also calamari inkantation strings
2:18 cool non chord tone strings in the back
2:31: new section (not that good)
guitar riffy at 2:45 (okay)
2:59 strings + bells and then guitar breakdown (best part except the ending of it)
3:31 cool chord
[loop]
anyway i wrote too much, pretty music thouhg Now fall

this sure is video game music; the kind that makes you nostalgic for the 1830s where you had to walk 40 kilomiles to school And there was no such thing as a Nintendo and you listened to Chopins Waltz in A-flat major, Op. 69, No. 1 ON your piano played by your butler. yup

sets a melancholy hopeful mood. that is one of my favorite moods! it plays the melody from the first game to make sure you remember it and also cry. that is called playing to your <a href="https://remywiki.com/AC_NST">nostalgia</a>, which i have none of for the kingdom of hearts. *score drops(
that being said i have heard the dearly beloved theme a lot and it is pretty alright! not too great, its very short and doesnt lend itself to just being itself without anything else, but but it does put me in that nostalgic mood for something i havent done which is strange. i think there is a word for that. maybe like stockholm syndrome except you haventwait no

wow, i entered dancing mad[from j.s. bachs little fugue in g mino] (short ver.) {umineko remix} for the second time.luckily for this Pokemon nominator, I like classical music! ostensibly
i like at 0:04 where the melody does a note (then some other notes) does the next note ascending in the scale (the other notes again) and so on. that's my favorite music thing (2). one of my not favorite music things is how the trill sounds at 0:23. it is very muddy

i wanna say that these rankings are like four months old at this point and if i was to rerank this it would probably score at least a 75. recently got more into organs (not human) than my initial notes (not public) implied i did when listening through these (not recent). so i am sorry to have elimneetated this song so early, ermine, but i truly do like it (especially the bend at 1:13)

this song makes me want to register my mach bike key item to the y button nd hear the biciycle theme instead . please go easier on the church bells mr. go ichinose. i do enjoy the synthier stuff used un the instrumentation though. i am comparing this to the oras version: better bell use in that one but some synths were replaced with stringish instruments :( not nice
also uhhh this repeats like 2.1125 times and the only thign that changes is the lyrics. i get that the source is short but like why not add more or just have a shorter song. doesnt help that i dont particularly like the slateport theme
2:52 funny canon in d reference (thats just me)

case study #2 in i hated organs when ranking but now i kinda like them (look at SOUNDQ points)
okay anyway .the intro is very cool. the notes on the organ go 3+3+3+3+4 16ts over a four four beat which is cool syncopation and the strings accentuate other beats as well. i especially like the way they drag out notes in the background it sounds like the soundtrack to harry potter and the cursed child composed by imogen heap
there is a melody at 0:27. oh nooo i havent played the game.. i dont know what it LEITMOTIFIZES (lawyers)
in the middle it decides to become a march...and as the kids say i donot Vibe with it. lther from that part, this is cool and nice music to study/acquit your clients to

this is the kind of song you KNOW without even look=ing that there are 134878521 different haruhi suzumiya and toradora AMVs of this song on youtube from 2008

ok so. things about this song that will happen four times: i am a fan of the melody. its cool and nice and memorable and doesnt stale too easily. , and this version actually i think makes it better because, JAZZ, and solos
problem that this has is that it sounds really muddy with the instruments they use. like i feel this is meant to sound like its played live but since its not it sounds too fake and put-together to realy drive any meaning to the song. kinda also takes away from the soloishness jazzy of it. especially hate the sequenced saxophone and brass instruments they just sound ugly

music for when you are playing xevious in the 80s (walking arpeggios with orchestra hits)
the energy of this song is really fun; ubpeat drum pattern with a geometry dash-like melody line (kind of i guess that is what i am hearing) but also kinda follin-y. this sounds like a song for the title screen of an fps and then in the game there is only ambience and you are sad but also happy because now you can hear the enemy (ive never played an fps)
my favorite part is 2:02 because 16th note run is musically tasty

wow.i am feeling N decisive haha get it
this song is liketaking the essences of a pokemon battle theme and then spreading them out and then spreading them out some more and then adding clock sounds to emphasize how spread out it is and then also make it angry save the world music. yep thats how they made it probably but also adding elements of ns musical motifes
this energyit really feels intense and decisive. if i was rating this song on how decisive it sounds, it would get an 8/10. oh look i did do thaat category nice um but i dont really like this that much out of context besides the intro which is as the kids say pog. the classic pokemon theme of notes being used and then anticipation created when the incorrect amt of time between the phrases of that melody are used...its really delicious

nice

this rocks out super hard. theres something about the feel of the track overall that just screams action (its the breakbeats) like the instrumentation on the melody line, even if it is a bit annoying at points
also a big fan of how the song builds up over time and is able to reuse the same ideas effectively .the melody is repetitive but catchy which balances out
also a big fan of the breakbeats

intro be like hi welcome to asisa PSYCHHE its asia but FAST
high energy song that makes you feel like youre in asia because of the instruments and pentatonic scale. lovely vibe its so stupid i love it especially when they bang the gong 513529 times
melody is very asian china japan oriental music trance but has some anime sometimes. nothing about this evokes desert and it is amazing

kinda short though in terms of new musical ideas and repetitivenes

(had to reup this myself no idea why it was gone)

i hate that i kind of like this. this is so owl city (music that is made by owl city from any year between 2007 and now). i used to be a big owl city fan. blasted that all day being really sad. now i am not that person that is liking owl city, but wow . i really don't like the lyrics of all his songs, and this is no exception, but his voice is very sonorous. like syrup for the ears.
i like most of the other instruments here except for the acoustic guitar constantly going but i guess it's necessary. also the clapping kind of sucks but it's the name of the song so what can you do. (i die.) but the fade out at the end is the worst.

also i've been told that this topic will die soon somehow regardless of if i keep it up based on post number? not sure if that's right. i don't know exactly what purge rates are and/or how they function so if someone could clue me in in a more detailed fashion that'd be nice

basically, make sure this topic doesn't get on page 9 or 10 and you should be good. bump it daily to be safe if things get wild
