I feel like all I heard from people was the action was pretty good but the gimmick was dumb and overbearing. The first person gimmick certainly was superfluous but the set pieces were amazing and it kept up the pace while still making things new and interesting. Also, Sharlto Copley is an absolute god damn gem. The movie had some great humor and he nailed all of his roles. The

CoD & Battlefield made me so bored of FPS action that Im not in control of. Maybe it would be tolerable if Im not actually expecting to play a game and then not getting to tho.

^But movies and games are totally different. A game with little interaction is boring but a movie doesn't have those limitations. Just sit back and watch it. It's not even very "gamey" to begin with. Apart from the first person it reminded more of Deadpool if it had a silent protagonist than watching an FPS.

I did and people mocked me telling me it was lame CoD jokes, etc...I really like the last fight scene and I hate Queen/dad rock so that must mean something

My favorite thing about Hardcore Henry isn't even about the film, necessarily. It's a parody of the film combining it with one of the greatest understated comedians of the 80s and 90s and his gimmick.
