30 y/o Creep, Brendt Christensen was SPARED the Death Penalty and was instead sentenced to LIFE in prison for the horrific kidnapping and murder of 26 y/o Scholar, YingYing Zhang much to the disappointment and anger from the Zhang family after they publicly begged for the killer to reveal where her remains her so they can be returned home..but he STILL REFUSES to do so!!

They deliberated for the second day after clashing on whether they should give him the death penalty..but they DEADLOCKED on the vote and it automatically resulted with life behind bars without possibility of parole.

The same jurors took less than 90 minutes to convict him for the abduction, raping, choking, beating and decapitation as prosecutors called for the death penalty but a jury had to be unanimous.

Brendt lowered his head and then turned around and SMILED to his mother and father as they sighed in relief that their son will not die..

Zhang's family said in a statement they did not agree with it as Ronggao Zhang appealed to Christensen on revealing where her body is so they can take her back to China and said "If you have any humanity left in your soul, please end our torment. Please let us bring YingYing home"

US Attorney, John Milhiser said efforts to find her remains will continue as Lifeng Ye, the mother sobbed uncontrollably. Her poignant testimony on how the family was devastated over the loss of their daughter who aspired to be a professor and help her working class family financially which was the main reason for her coming to America. She said "How am i supposed to carry on living? I really don't know how to carry on" YingYing also was to MARRY her boyfriend who lived back in China as they planning on having a family. Her boyfriend, Xiaolin Hou testified that their family's only hope was to have her body found so they can bury her but Christensen smirked and REFUSED to tell them

Michael Christensen, begged the jurors not to execute his only son prompting it is "unbearable" as he broke down crying..that testimony may have been the deciding factor in some of the juror's decision.

The defense tried to HUMANIZE him by showing HOME VIDEOS of him playing the PIANO and him opening up christmas presents and said he was man "gone mad" who was in the prestigious doctoral program in physics. His sister Andrea said her brother was a ROLE MODEL who was never aggressive but a "gentle person"

Those characteristics were a far cry from the man described in court as Brendt had dreams of being an anonymous SERIAL KILLER and wanted to kill someone that day..he tried to murder another girl by luring her into his car but she refused..until he found YingYing who was on her way to sign a lease. The 6' muscular Brendt forced a 5'4 Zhang into his apartment where he began raping her and choked her. He then beat her with a baseball bat and decapitated her and did not reveal what he did with the body.

His gf was brave enough to wear a wire after approached by the FBI to bust him..He revealed to her that he would never kill her even though he THOUGHT of it but said she was TOO HEAVY..he went on vigils and searches for YingYing all while knowing what he did.

He's had homicidal fantasies for months as he posted on the Dark Web his dream of being the next killer..

He will now die in Prison without a chance of Parole.

Do you think the Jury made the right decision?

I hate how families of horrible murderers always try to sob story you into feeling bad for someone who clearly didn't have the capacity to do that for other people. It's like, oh these jurors are probably normally humans with empathy, let's manipulate them into thinking our sociopath kid is just like them. What he did is disgusting, not that I support the death penalty, but the way they manipulated the jury is gross.

I am never one to agree with death penalty no matter how horrific their actions are, so I might be bias on this matter.

But, I could understand wanting him dead on the other perspective; hell if I was someone's close to the deceased girl I would beat the living soul outta the guy.

You can't reverse death, what happened has already happened. Cry for her while you can and learn to move on no matter how hard it is.

Guy just ruined his life. He'll be spending his entire rest of his time in the bars (hopefully reflecting on his deeds). US prison ain't exactly fun and rainbows either when violence exists.

Yeah

Why can't parents not have emotional connections to their kids!?

It's like the fuckers are biased or something.

Different perspective.

I would also do the same had that been my son. A killer he might but a son he is.

Why is it relevant to the court case and shown to the jury? The entire purpose was clearly to emotionally manipulate them into sparing their son. Showing him opening presents and playing piano? How is that relevant to the case?

Tc's clickbait gimmick with his various alts is sad. He does not care at all about the news he shares, or any of the victims therein, only the clicks he gets from them. I should really put them all on ignore.

I would disown my son and never speak to him again. Can't even tell the family where he hid the body? Clearly not capable of caring about other people and probably only views me as a mean to an end as well.

I find this kind moral myopia pathetic tbh. Id take down my own kid if they ever did something like this. In this case the parents are just as responsible for enabling and supporting this scumbag. if I didnt have anything else in life like the mother in this incident Id do something drastic. Ironically, the killer is safer guarded in a high security prison but the parents arent. And hell, itd be interesting to see how he feels when he loses family members and that it was because of him.

He needs to be decapitated as a form of Death Sentence.

Eye for an Eye.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7258203/Man-convicted-killing-woman-children.html

There will always be some judge down the line who is a bleeding heart and will try to release the murderer later.

And they will strike again and cause more loss.

The only good solution is to end him and donate his organs to society.

There's no possibility for parole. Please read the article before you post next time :)

Law's change, things & circumstances change, and there is always the chance of escape.

As long as he's alive, his family will do everything they can to try to get him out of jail.

The only good solution is to get rid of that convicted murderer for the sake of humanity.

If someone could murder 12 people and our court doesnt have the decency to put down a monster then youre only encouraging their action.

Japan has the right idea:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_punishment_in_Japan

Even 1 murder is too much.

They'll execute that murderer for even 1 death.

And use only cost efficient methods:

They're preffered choice is hanging.

I prefer Firing Squad, Hanging, or Guillotine.

All the other methods are just not cost effective IMO.
