Only in college when I was sick or way too tired to go to class.

Elementary-high school had contact info for mom so if I was out, theyd call her at work and Id be busted.

All the time senior year. My school had an automated call system. My sister was still in the system even though she transferred schools, so we started getting calls for her. I saw my opportunity and started skipping quite a bit. I was the good kid (hah, I was just obedient, I was way worse than my sister) so my parents never questioned the double calls.

I did with parental knowledge. My foster parent ALWAYS believed me when I acted sick and I used that to avoid days that I decided I wanted to skip.

I was terrible once I got my own car, and senoritis kicked in. Most of the time it was just a case of coming in late (occasionally hours late - I could skip my first couple periods and still have the day count as "late" rather than a full absence), but I'd skip entire days occasionally as long as I still had some left (we could only have 16 official absences without a doctor's note without risking have to stay back a grade).

At least once something like 20 of us skipped the first three periods and went out to breakfast at a pancake place, like an unofficial field trip sort of deal.

Yeah I was crazy into David Bowie and skipped school the day he died because I was really sad. My parents knew and they let me skip.

In 8th grade I decided to just not go to school for a couple weeks and instead watch The Fifth Element on TV everyday

What happened was that a Truant officer showed up at the house and I got in a ton of trouble

Yep. I actually had a year report from my PE teacher saying "he has not attended a class this year". It was pointless. I used to just go down to the woods near my old school and wait until it was time to go home. That was until I found that boring and just went home and told my dad I wasn't doing it. He said he would get fined but he never did so eh.

I skipped more school then anyone else has probably done, and still graduated lol.

I skipped all of 4th grade, but they let me go forward because I tested 12+ in vocabulary and math skills. They asked why I skipped and I said I was bored. I had moved so often before the school just thought we moved again and didn't know anything was wrong till I showed up for a field trip at the end of the year.

Then I skipped most of the first 3 months of my freshman year of HS, they gave me Sat detention for skipping, and I skipped those lol. The Principle was going to send me to Robertson a continuation school, but I got a job as a janitor at a private school, transfered there and graduated by the end of the year.

I also started school 1 year late (my birthday is in November and we were in Vermont at the time), so I basically skipped over 5 years of school, still graduated with a 4.0 and a full scholarship to college (which I didn't use).

I never did. At least I didn't have unexcused absences. Before college, my parents knew because I was sick and they had me stay home. In college and above, I didn't skip unless it was an emergency.

My school did, too. If the calls had went to my house, I could intercept them. They went to my stepdads house, though. But yeah. My senior year was just spotted with skipping all over...

Sooooo many times. My voice has sounded the same as my Dad's since freshman year so I'd always call myself out in high school. In college I'd ditch at least one day a week
