I've never liked old things, so I don't really relate. It's like whatever causes people to be nostalgic wasn't built into me.

That's because the generation that grew up in that era now has all the buying power, so their nostalgia is being marketed to.

Whatever was popular 25-30 years ago tends to have a resurgence later - it's been that way for decades now.
