So I am moving on Sunday and, leaving all my furniture behind, even my bed.

I am moving with only what I can fit in my car.

Will still have 2 tv's, a laptop, and my game systems (ps4/Wii U/3ds/ps3 (2 of em...need to sell/trade one in). My clothes (not very much a bit more then can fit in a laundry hamper), and some plates/silverware etc. That is about it.

I'm a bit nervous in fact as this place I am moving seems really great, almost too good to be true, but the person I met etc checked out (I looked up the owner of the property, and then found her on facebook to ensure that is who I met).

Still I got a place for my friend two months ago and it ended up being a scam. If I head there on Sunday and it was a scam I would be devestated. I just have to trust that isn't going to happen.

I will hopefully have a job 5 blocks from where I am moving to, as a teacher (place I worked at in the past and left on very good terms). So I can rebuild everything. I ordered a mattress on prime day that will get delivered on the 24th as well (will sleep on the floor till then).

Really happy with this place though it's like getting my own apartment for the cost of renting a room. I get the whole downstairs area, and if you enter through the back, the stairs leading down are right there, so it's like having my own apartment:) Way more space then I have now, my own bathroom and even a living room I can set up in the future.

My current roomates are keeping all my living room funriture/couch/chair etc for now, since I won't need it at first at least, so later on I can just come back and get a truck and move it up there (once I have friends etc that would actually want to come over).

If it falls through, I will just wander the America until I find somewhere that calls to me I guess.

I'm not asking this to be rude or funny, but are you poor? If I am remembering correctly, it seems like you are always on the move or something, and it seems like you're always staying with someone else (neither are indicators of being poor).

Yeah, I'm not rich lol, I have enough to get by on and am looking to spend less then I will get once I retire (which is only about $1k a month) which could happen in as little as 3 years.

I've been renting rooms, and that is what I'm doing now, except it's more like an apartment for the cost of a room which is awesome. Really have not liked sharing bathrooms.

Currently been trying to spend $800 or less a month on average, but usually I go over a bit.

I have this room (the one I'm leaving) till the end of the month, so I guess I could drive back here if the other place fell through, but I think I would be too depressed at that point lol. I might just drive off into the sunset or something. I doubt it will happen though, the lady seems nice, has a long facebook history etc.

It's just....still scary. There are so many bad people out there. I really don't have it in me to deal with something like that if it happened.

Why are you waiting to get a truck to bring everything? Could you rent something like trailer?

I don't need the stuff right now, but I might move up there and then decide to do the truck thing after I move in. My current roomates have been using the couch/chair in the living room all this time and wouldn't have anything if I took them.

I don't need them right away, so it makes sense to leave that for them. Meanwhile the 2 desks/stands I use for my TVs in my bedroom go with the living room furniture (same color, studs on front etc), so it makes sense to keep them together, even if I sold them it would make WAY more sense to sell as a whole.

So it's better to just leave it for them for now, I can come get it sometime in the future. It's only $60 to do a 1 way budget truck and move it all, so no rush.

I would rather the stuff get used then just collect dust pretty much.
