The idea of making someone else happier than I am hoarding this massive game collection I dont always get any joy from.

Like donating them to a childrens hospital.

That's not a bad idea. I used to give away a lot of games here in the past, because I knew I'd never get around to playing them so they'd be better off with someone who could get some enjoyment out of them.

I may actually look into doing this. Should make sure that any games I want to donate are suitable for children.

I can agree with that. Haven't done it much lately, but did send off some PS2 games and a Gamecube game earlier this year to someone who was getting back into older games.

I just did that yesterday!!!

I have given away so many games and systems over the years.

I gave away my dreamcast along with Phantasy Star Online yesterday. I also sold my extra PSVR along with a bunch of VR games (Doom/Skyrim etc) for the trade in value at gamestop. It was to someone with a 14 year old son who just had a birthday. Made me feel really good/happy.

I still need to get one of my ps3 systems set up to sell, but previous roomate took all but one of my controllers, which kinda blows. Not sure if I'm gonna give it away with a bunch of games, or just sell it fairly cheap.

I gave away my N64, gamecube, 1 psone (still have one left), A DS, My PSP300, etc.

You just don't get enough trading the stuff in (the dreamcast had a $15 trade in value) so it doesn't make sense, way better to give em away.

I'm totally jealous of whoever got that. I still want a Dreamcast and a copy of that game (though maybe on the GC instead).

Yeah the GC version of phantasy star was superior, but by the time I got it, I had already played it soooo much on the dreamcast, so that is my favorite (and the one I kept). I never actually ended up setting it up and playing it after all this time though, so it's silly to keep holding on to it.

I just have so many steam games, ps4 games etc, I don't even know if I should hold on to any of my ps2/psone/ps3 systems at this point. The backlog is so big for the newer systems that I don't know if I'll ever play the older ones anymore, but I have SO many games for them, many I never played so it's hard/painful to get rid of them.

I may just keep one ps3, the best games for it, and get rid of the rest.
