Super Mario Bros. 1, in the Duck Hunt combo cartridge

I still remember when my parents bought the NES from K-Mart. They actually had a guy come out to install it for us. It came with that combo cartridge.

First Super Mario, baby!

I was literally in diapers. Watched my mom play it, while I was sitting in my tiny Ninja Turtles foam chair.

Later she let me play, along with the other 2 Mario's.

Early exposure, ladies and gentlemen. It's how they get you hooked for life!

It was a DOS game. I believe it went 2 levels before you just ran in an endless loop in a castle. Probably downloaded from the same place we got the Red and Green roms from.

Install what exactly?

I had the 3 game combo: the same 2 games and the clay pigeon shooting game

The NES I guess lol. I just remember a K-Mart guy hooking it up for us and I thought that was funny so I mentioned it.

That's the one I had. I always thought the clay pigeon game was part of Duck Hunt.

I'm informed that it was Mario Bros. for NES but I don't remember that. I did have Allstars + World cartridge for SNES I do remember playing especially SMW and SMB3.

super mario bros is the first game that I remember playing. I also have memories of playing duck hunt at a cousin's house. I was born in 1991, so I'm not actually sure if that's the first game that I've played

Not 100% sure but think for me it was the standalone Super Mario Bros cartridge. the Duck Hunt cartridge was separate, I think.

Super Mario All-Stars on Super NES (the one without Super Mario World). Can't remember which game I played from that collection first since I was like 4 years old but I probably chose Super Mario Bros. 3.

Back then, I didn't know these Mario games were on NES and that they were just updated on SNES and I thought these games originated on SNES.

It was probably Donkey Kong or Mario Bros. in the arcade.

I think Mario Bros. is still a good game for what it is, but I think Donkey Kong is too cheaply difficult. It seems that you always get trapped by barrels with no way to avoid them.

Probably Donkey Kong but I don't really recall it much. I do remember the first time I played Super Mario Bros on NES sometime in 1986, most likely. My parents took me to some house party for some people I didn't really know and they had a NES hooked up and people kept taking turns playing SMB.

SMB1, but Im the only person I know of out of all my friends who had the standalone game. When we got our NES, it was the deluxe package that came with the zapper, ROB, Gyromite & Duck Hunt. So we ended up getting just SMB1 on its own. .
