Board 8 > I run an RPG for Board 8ers based on DC Comics. Here is my story.

Selected highlights off the top of my head

-My Group put a question mark over the batsignal to create a riddlersignal
-we went to the Mad Hatters territory and three of us almost got ourselves captured before Johnbobb saved us. Scare couldnt make the session so Fastbreak attempted to do paperwork. It defeated him.
-Fastbreak got his ass kicked by Mario Falcone
-Artemis And John were petting each other
-During a meeting between both groups, Scare and Han did drugs and Inviso set off the sprinklers and ruined a lot of Oracles stuff

I might as well sum up the things I did, because there is nothing else coming.
-despite wanting to try and play a more passive character, the first fight we got in to saw my character shoot someone in the head. This set off a bit of bloodlust for my character. He ended up shooting and pulling a gun on almost everyone for a few sessions until he had a bit of a break. The stress from that first kill kind screwed up my original plan.
-Harvey Bullock was one of the people that Mantis pulled a gun on and it almost got us swarmed by the swat team because we were right outside a police station.
-While attempting to make a slingshot for one of the characters from the other group, I rolled a Nat 1 and destroyed the workshop.
-I would try and charm everyone, often with hilarious results from bad rolls.
-While everyone else was trying to sneak I was forced to stroll right in like it was nothing because I didnt have sneak.

I have a terrible memory so I'll add more when I think of it, if anyone else from the campaign that has Mantisn moments I'm sure they will add them.

Oh I remember one. I tried shooting Catwoman and missed, hitting a giant picture of Bruce Wayne's parents. The group blamed Riev and Mantis just rolled with it. I'd add the rest of the story but to respect Ermine, Wickle and Han I'll let them add the rest because it didn't involve my characters actions.

To be even more specific about this one. We didn't blame anyone specifically, but basically Riev tried to cover it up and proceeded to get into a bluff situation, which he promptly failed. Which led to him being blamed for the situation.

I want to expand on this one because it was one of my favorite moments. It went down like this:

We show up to the Hatter territory, and shit is all Alice in Wonderlandy, with a bunch of mechanical-type guards out front that immediately form a firing line on us as we approach. We all retreat to a nearby house, and everyone's stumped how to proceed until Obrov has the idea to have Rosetta (the young blonde girl) to pretend to be Alice. She goes up, it works, and she gets hypnotized and captured. Ghost and Tali sneak in after her, but Obrov can't stealth due to being a giant monstrous dude, so he hangs back and just spends like half an hour chilling in the house and killing time. Shit starts going down, Rosetta gets unhypnotized but surrounded by the armed guards, while Tali and Ghost are trying to survive.

Obrov hears the commotion and goes full Juggernaut, tanking through the firing line and just knocking guards the fuck out the way until he catches up to Rosetta, lifts her above his head, and carries her outo of there, all while Nat20ing an invulnerability roll so the guard bayonets are basically just poking him as he shoves through them.

Then there's a big fucking dragon thing that lights everyone (except Tali) on fire, they escape, and break the illusion.

Probably Obrov's best hero moment of the campaign thus far.

I thought you really found your voice last night. From dropping Rosetta twice, to arguing with her and sticking up for Fastbreak. And the whole "THIS IS OBVIOUSLY NOT [Redacted]"

Obrov feeling a lot more like someone who wants to get shit done and wants to be with the group more and more now and not just tagging along because it was something to do.

Likewise John >>>> Jack. He was great last night and spoke up at all the right times and said the right things.

I have listened to the argument parts of blue boys several times already and each time I laugh my ass off

Rosetta fucking ROASTED Fastbreak (but he got her back out of session) and it was magical

and Tali is the evil princess we didnt want but now we have it and its going to be lit

last night might have been my favorite session

Edit: Also he constantly had his missing brother on his mind and just about everything we learned about him was worse than the last. Not much room for him to be as fun as John is
