Yeah you can wear three or four layers of clothes and be basically immobile, but you're warm!!

Also you can literally just go into a body of water and cool off instantly in the summer

They are equally easy.

You can't go swimming while at work, but you also can't wear three layers of clothes while at work. You can also drink water to cool down as well.

What kind of employee isn't allowed to wear an extra layer? Strippers?

Once you get to work you are expected to take off your gloves, jacket, etc. Unless you work outside, in which case hot weather is still better than cold weather because you can move around more easily and it can be gross if there's slush everywhere in the winter.

If it is hot in a work setting I just have to sit there and sweat like a pig.At least if you are cold you can toss on a sweater and still be professional.

Also it costs a lot less to warm up when you are cold (put on more clothes) than to cool down, which requires a pool, or AC, or constant cold showers.

Ignoring the other topic, usually temperature wars are over 60-80 degrees.
If it's 10 degrees outside, an office building should have heating. If it's 90 degrees outside, an office should have AC (and fuck em if they don't). Debates are normally about people who prefer 68 to 78 degrees. Clearly it's better to be colder and wear one layer than be hotter with no real way to cool down.

I have though. And I'm pretty sure everyone has played sports outside in the hot and cold weather. You have to take different precautions for both, but being able to actually move around is a big deal.

I live in a place that goes to -40 in the Winter. It's not like life stops. Hell, we go to school still. You put on some extra clothes and deal with it.

More people die from heat exposure than cold.

None of which you can use while at work, or going about your daily life. You can put on a sweater and go to work, go to the store, go for a walk. You don't have a lack of mobility. I don't know why you keep saying this. You can't swim in a pool to the grocery store, or to work, or to the vast majority of bars and clubs.

And I haven't seen anyone insult you personally.

i've never needed more than a thermal and sweater where i live. as opposed to running ac every single day and increasing my bill a couple times over. ain't nobody going to the pool after work unless it's at the gym. and even then you're still going to go home and need to turn the ac on.

Where do you guys find free pools? Every pool I've ever seen either cost money to get it or was gated off/part of an apartment complex (so you're effectively paying for it).
