Why did you think they were going to steamroll through the playoffs to begin with? Every team they might face is a big threat. I don't think any of their series will be easy, though I still expect them to at least make it to the ALCS.

Also remember last year that not everyone was so confident in the Red Sox going into the playoffs either. Still plenty of people who thought the Astros were going to win, including myself.

Their pitching staff actually let them hold a lead at the end of a single inning, but still seem deadset on making sure to bury them.

This Cubs series, like the Nats series, is being lost through the collective effort of just about every pitcher on the roster laying an egg.

(Ex: They've given up first inning runs in every game of both series)

next thing you know, his shirt is ripped off

How are the Rays chances of qualifying for the playoffs looking?

the Rays are one of 3 teams that are essentially tied vying for two wildcard spots. i'd say it's about 50-50 that they get a home game in the time frame you were looking for.

I expect the Rays to be the first team out, though I never expected them to stay in the playoff race this long.

The Twins are the team that feels like it should most be on alert though. Their massive lead on the wildcards is only 3/4 games now. One sweep by the Indians could almost throw them right out of a playoff spot.

(Of course Cleveland already did pass them once then fell apart immediately after)

god MLB is so fucking dumb

the mets game had a fuckin 3 HOUR DELAY (after the game was past official, and the mets up 2-0), with syndergaard dominating before it. they decide to RESUME IT. AFTER 3 HOURS. they play literally 20 minutes and it rains even harder and they delay it again. How fucking stupid do you have to be to think you can squeeze 3 innings into 20 minutes? And because of their shit make both teams waste relievers for no reason (with the Mets going into a series vs the Braves). So dumb. The game should've been called ~90 minutes into the first delay.

People saying the only reason they forced this game to continue is cuz in the Cardinals game last night everyone got pissed for them calling the game too early so they were trying to compensate here by not calling it at all. Thanks a lot MLB.

Mets had so many opportunities to win that game, and they capitalized on none of them. We love Alonso and Conforto but them doing nothing with Rosario on 2nd with no outs really killed this game the most.

At least all the relevant WC teams also lost.
