Somewhat sparse in details but it seems like an actual new entry and not something like Utawarerumono Zan. Hopefully it gets an an English release in some capacity, although that's far from guaranteed. Already like the two leads though. Interestingly compared to past games the male MC looks a lot more...well...angry? (hot-blooded, maybe? idk) Might be cool to see how that plays out.

Hopefully we get at least cameos from the previous games also. (Mask of Deception/Truth spoilers) All I want is to have 100% unquestionable, undeniable confirmation that Haku and Kuon live happily ever after, ok?

I've absolutely fallen in love with this franchise and am so happy I got on board right as it was about to have a resurgence. And we've got the remake of the first game to enjoy in the meantime!

I picked up the two currently localized games a while ago but because localizations are silly and that means they're games 2 and 3, I've been waiting for 1 before starting them.

plus whatever else my backlog does. too many games.

yeah i know there's the anime but whateva i rather try (and fail) to work on my backlog and wait for the proper experience

Yeah at this point it's probably best just to wait for the remake, it's not terribly far off and should be a far better experience than the anime. (Unless NISA bungles the translation something fierce.)

The anime was quite good I thought, though I would guess the game is probably better because that's almost always how VN adaptations go. (The anime of the first game that is. I have heard the anime of the second game is extremely bad.)

I also played game 2 without having experienced the original Utawarerumono in either game or anime form. It is technically do-able though I don't know if I'd recommend it or not.
