Poll of the Day > I've been getting small anxiety attacks after eating

Only for the past week or so. I'm not that much overweight (5'10"/180). I don't have any eating disorders and I'm definitely not a foodie.
It's not heart palpitations or shortness of breath. It's more like feeling very off and wanting to jump out of my skin.
Wtf is going on?

It could be a reaction to any number of the chemicals in over-processed food-like products.

Anxiety. The more you think about it the more you will feed it. Anxiety can make you feel weird sensations. A couple of my favourites from experience are a pulling sensation like I'm being pulled to the ground and a feeling of being trapped inside my own body. They pass soon enough and just get replaced by another weird feeling so meh.

Maybe you have blood sugar problems. Get a test.

That's what I suffer from, I don't have anxiety in general - but certain foods cause me to have panic attacks. It's from a signalling error in the vagus nerve.

I take effexor for it, but typically I just avoid triggering foods
