Think about that.

Oh. The names of the films.

Hanna, and Y Tu Mama Tambian. Both excellent films. Thoughts on them?

I've probably seen Big Lebowski 40 times but that's definitely it. Nothing else comes close to even like, 15.

40+ is a lot, though, isn't it?

I've got various films I've seen 20+ times, but even 30+ is pushing it. I used to be obsessed with Hanna, though, I guess it was my main "comfy" film, and Y Tu mama Tambian is just a great film, it really is.

I've never heard of either of those movies.

40 times for anything other than Star Wars means you have issues. Deep issues. ;)

(I'll give a pass on Christmas Story. That's almost unavoidable. Lol)

Y Tu Mama Tambian

Why, may I ask? It isn't bad, but definitely not masterpiece that worth to watch 40 times.
Have you seen Amores Perros? It's miles better

I don't know. Just a brilliant film.

Never seen Amores Perros. Is it another Mexican film?

I own both however I don't get seeing the latter 40 times unless you have literally no access to pornographic material of any kind.

Ah! So, you admit that Hanna is worth seeing 40+ times?

The funny thing is, I only very occasionally watch those films these days. When I first got my copies, I would sometimes watch each of them every few days.

Never seen Goodfellas, but enjoyed FMJ. I might get a copy of the latter some time. It's very rewatchable, then?

Maybe 10 times for the Chemical Brothers soundtrack and the action sequences but also neither.

Point was Y Tu Mama Tambien is a far superior film yet it's one of those amazing must see movies that would spread out 20 years or something to rewatch it so many times.

Mine would probably be La La Land and Whiplash. Moreso Whiplash. Nowhere near 40+ times, but I wouldn't be shocked if I eventually get there.

You're a big fan of La La Land, then? I must admit, I really enjoyed it when it came out, but I haven't seen it since then. Is it pretty rewatchable? I hadn't thought about it much in recent times. I actually think it might have been a flash in the pan. Big, when it debuted, but after a few months I don't think I've seen / heard people talk about it much. I don't know if it'll go on to be considered a classic, 50 years from now, and that's assuming people even remember it at all.

Somewhat. Mostly because of Whiplash. I really enjoyed the soundtrack for that one. Same for La La Land, which I enjoyed beyond the traditional music segments, like the tracks that kinda just played in the background.

It just resonates with me as I'm fan of everything it includes. Lots of familiar things. Mia's apartments are in Long Beach where I live. I've got a pretty heavy bias towards Rebel without a Cause or any film that acknowledges the Griffith Observatory as that's been somewhere I always enjoyed going to. I like to play piano and have an affinity for jazz and all the artists that Sebastin references. There's a lot for me to appreciate in the film even if I have my reservations about the characters. Totally disagree with Sebs stance on Jazz and his traditionalist gatekeeping and Mia was low key a bitch.
