However, there are times where I don't think Naito is the true embodiment of Tranquilo. That honor may fall to my boy Orange Cassidy. There is nothing the character can do, ass-kickery and resigned leadership be damned, to repair that point of view. Dilly-dally shilly-shally is going to be her lasting mark on me. Playing in the soulless and sanitized philosophies of the Jedi and Sith ultimately pales in comparison to digging your hands into the hamburger meat of the galaxy far, far away. In many ways, I feel like I've peered into the soul of Joss Whedon and realized that it's style over substance a lot of the time. A lot of the dip in love for River probably stems from the show and film not having opportunity to give River the time and development I think she deserved. Still, it's Summer Glau. It's a character that I would ruminate on after the show ended quite frequently. Something in the character in almost every medium and rendition is just so accessible to me.
