How did you determine the seeding?

It's primarily determined by nominations, but I also went to Wikiquote and added up the word count for each entry. It was very tedious, but it lead to a pretty interesting bracket.

It starts tomorrow (6/12) sometime in the morning.

How will you be conducting the matches?

Two matches a day until we get to Round 4. I'll be hand-counting the votes.

Will you be featuring choice quotes in the OP of every match?

Hell yeah, but YOU gotta help me! Recommend your favorite quotes from each series and I'll do my best to put feature them in the first post of each match. I'll never go out of my way to feature bad quotes.

The highest nominated thing was Star Fox 64, so it is the overall one-seed

The media with the longest Wikiquote entry was Futurama because every single episode of basically every season was entirely quoted. I don't know how people have the patience for that. Second was Simpsons and third was South Park. Jojo had the longest single page that wasn't broken up into smaller pages. I accidentally deleted the Excel I was recording this in so that's all I remember.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I will probably not be voting often for The Simpsons. (Or any other long-running TV series.) Sure, they may have quite a few renowned quotes, more than any of the other entries in the bracket, even, but in terms of percentage of run-time, most of the really quotable movies on here are much stronger. But hey, like, that's just my opinion, man.

Also, Spaceballs didn't make it? I could swear I wasn't the first person to support it in the vote-in. Surely it didn't languish on 2 while someone single-handedly voted in some random YouTube channel I've never heard of.

It had 2 votes for the longest time, I don't know how it got overlooked. I think if I were posting tallies more regularly then someone would have noticed. Unfortunately I was throwing an E3 party at the time and tbqh I didn't think anyone was going to participate in the vote-in because E3 was going on. I was really rooting for Spaceballs, it's one of my favorite movies.

Just a Pancake would have gotten in over it regardless, it was like the third one to qualify because Hombad was so on top of it.

I was the first to nominate Just a Pancake and I wasn't expecting it to make the bracket, so now that it's in I feel like I have to vote for it on principle. Drawing the Simpsons in round 1 means it's sure to be the blowout of the contest!

Aw, I do feel bad for nomming Spaceballs and then immediately revoking said nom. Granted, I wouldn't say its quotes are useful or applicable outside of the occasional Jeopardy(!) answer, but there really is more to it than I gave it credit for. Shame.
