The best part about Christie's DPOV is that someone on their side of the house does have to win the veto for it to be used. Which isn't a large preventative measure BUT it at least helps. Even if she uses it, there's still the possibility of a Six Shooter going in a 5-5 tie. It would just require Nick and Bella working with Cliff and Nicole to pull it off, which would be made extra hard because I can easily see Nicole being the forced DPoV nomination. But so far the outcasts haven't exactly been the most game savvy to pull off something so unified...

Kat isn't as great on the feeds as she is with the edited episodes, imo. She's great on the show, but the feeds... hit and miss. And she's currently a total mole for the Six Shooters, is trying to keep this game REALLY boring by giving them full control. She also doesn't have a good sense of strategy so this is just blind loyalty for the sake of feeling included (even though she's at the bottom).

Update (spoilers): Kat is now not entirely playing the JC role. That was an unexpected turn-around! She's snowing Jack and not revealing everything she knows. I think Kat is 100% team Holly (and Jackson), and given the current HoH isn't targeting them, she's willing to hide some truths to the rest of 6S.

So that's a great thing.

Yessir. Was going to type something about it, then saw it was in the middle of a Big Brother episode and forgot afterward.

Good finale. Loved how many things they did in D.C. - and the final task was certainly better than TAR5's. GREAT location for a finish line, too.

Final team rankings...

1. Max & Katie - Likable villains, really. He's a troll, she's kind of mean but owns it. They were wildly entertaining and seem like people I'd gel with. Again, lots of points for the Legends of the Hidden Temple reference, too. Why haven't they been back?
2. Caroline & Jennifer - A LOT of fun, with their singing to seduce taxi drivers and blonde moments (missing the obvious on the human chessboard, not taking a number in New Zealand). They both seem like sweet girls, too. And we got the backstory of their birthrights, but that wasn't examined much because, well, they're too young to have any cool stories. I see why they were brought back.
3. Jessica & John - For a douchebag, John had one of the most satisfying self-comeuppances I have ever seen. He humiliated himself astronomically and it was entertaining for every second. Jessica seems like a much nicer person than he does, what with high-fiving local kids and suggesting the right thing on many an occasion only to be shut down by John's ego. I can see why they were given a second chance - these two were quite a story in the making. And he was fun to see get his. Shame she married him, though.
4. Joey & Meghan - These two were surprisingly delightful, with the geekiness and the enthusiasm, though that died off as the Race wore on. I think the "surprise" is because of Inviso comments from before, perhaps. These two were rootable for me because they'd fit in here at Board 8. They just could have been developed further.
5. Dave & Connor - Was a shame to see Dave's injury happen, which turned these two into an underdog story of perseverance until the MedEvac. This was compelling television, even if the recaps beat it to death. It was nice to get an update at the end about how the surgery went well, but it does seem that CBS loves these two more than I do.
6. Bates & Anthony - These two were a surprisingly rootable pair of alpha males of a team archetype that I normally despise. They seem like legit nice guys who are hyper-competitive, and they had several more close calls than I anticipated. Goes to show you the Race isn't all brawn, even if they won. I'm happy for them.
7. Pam & Winnie - A fun, rootable team here, too. The one thing that puts them this low is that I don't remember much in the way of personal content about them... and, well, there are a LOT of teams this season that were that good.
8. Mona & Beth - The Roller Derby Moms. That team name is about all I can say about them, and they made the final three. They didn't have the feisty side to them that the Bowling Moms (particularly Linda) did. Nice ladies, though. That they're this low shows how stacked this cast is.
9. Idreis & Jamil - Meh. The only memorable thing about them is that they were "deliverymen."
10. Chuck & Wynona - Had a few fun little moments, but she was annoying and he was ignoring her too much because he was competitive. Does anyone know if they got divorced? Certainly feels like they were going to. They got rather trying later.
11. Matt & Daniel - First boot that had very little personality and quite a bit of conceit.

Overall, definitely a top-tier season. I still think 5 is better, personally, because that season was loaded with memorable people and stacked with memorable moments (Colin's series of meltdowns + the drive-by "BITCH!" + Mirna in general + "MINE KEEP HAVING SEX!" + The Sphinx being a Pit Stop, to name some). But this is way up there, too, though the moments... the Botswana speed trap + John's self-humiliation + the Bates/Jennifer flirtmance + uhhh...)...

I agree, Max & Katie are great villains. Going into my rewatch I remembered liking them, but I remembered liking many teams of the season. I didn't expect them to be so great like that. As far as I know they were not well-liked by the viewerbase as a whole, and the season was already represented by a whopping four teams on the next All-Star season that quite frankly I felt on one level or another were deserving of coming back (I hate Joey & Meghan but they were super popular among casuals). But they do have fans on the internet. After 24, Sucks did a board rankdown of every team ever and they were the highest-ranked non-F/F team (although the vocal response in the topic didn't seem to corroborate that ranking).

Speaking of teams that returned for All-Stars, (note this doesn't have placement spoilers, just character development ones, but it does comment on your opinion of one team) John significantly toned back his douchebaggery in 24, actually he became pretty genuinely likable. He seemed pretty humbled by his mistake and took his villain edit to heart.

Why exactly do you hate Joey & Meghan? I viewed this season more as a casual, personally, seeing as I wasn't active on social media for it... so I don't quite know why they're hated by some.

Jessica & John are so high for me because of how that humiliation was such great TV. Please note that mine wasn't solely based on likability, but both likability and entertainment.

Chuck & Wynona were fun in leg 1, yeah. But after that was a steady decline, and the negatives stand out after all is said and done.

Well, yeah, a likable person isn't necessarily entertaining, but an unlikable person can be very frustrating if they aren't edited well (ie Max is probably a pretty unpleasant person IRL but they made him so trollish in the edit that he looped around into being awesome; Randy Bailey is another great example of this type). John was such a douche and made me feel so bad for Jess that the humiliation didn't compensate. Shamir/Sara from 29 are in a similar boat. Shamir alone is a pretty hilarious trainwreck, but it was actually kind of uncomfortable just how badly he dragged his partner down, so I couldn't outright like them. I have them in the purple and fairly low as well.

Joey is super annoying and I generally avoid any Youtube videos he is in, even from 'tubers that I like (granted he can't hold a candle to the abomination that is PewDiePie, but I digress), and Meghan started out kind of nice but gradually became pretty unpleasant as the race progressed.

I loved seeing John get his, with the show blaming the elimination solely on him. I felt really bad for Jessica, too - her I actually liked. Same goes for Sara in TAR29, though a large part of that is how nice to look at she is. Shamir's implosion was a little discomforting, yeah...

I don't remember Meghan being particularly unpleasant. Her and Joey weren't as energetic as the race went on. Are you talking about TAR24? I haven't seen that abomination, so perhaps I don't have a tainted lens from that. From what I saw on this season and this season alone, they were fine. On YouTube might be a different story... (And yeah, PewDiePie sucks, though I've only tolerated a minute of him ever so...)

Agreed. They added these powers in hopes that they'd create a more balanced game, but like tends to happen every single time, they either changed nothing (Jack also used his power, which didn't change much) or helped out the more dominant side. These powers need to stop - the one time there could have been a major strategic shift in the game, it backfired. When will Grodner learn?

Kat is definitely the JC of this season. Thinks she has a lot more power than she actually does and is really just a convenient floater who always seems to go with the stronger side. I expect her to make a deep run, seeing as they'll protect her so long as she's useful to them.
