Next fest's banner with (hopefully) Bartz Awakening, Auron and Emperor chains. I really need a fire chain.

Before that I think only FF2 with most likey get a pull or two since my FF2 synergy sucks and any awakening would be a huge boon for the torment.

Also the new lightning imperil machinist ability should be out tonight, with that and the new celerity next week I'll take on Lighting weak Odin.

Beat D??? Gilgamesh, didn't get the sub30 though, but close enough. He's not even that hard but Galuf seems to do piss poor damage until the chain gets really high which is what held me back. I probably could sub30 if I keep resetting until I get enough dualcasts, but eh, I don't need those 40 rubies yet. I can just wait till I get more magia for Galuf and Gogo and hopefully better relics.

At least the new electric celerity ability should be out Thursday, hopefully that will let me beat water Odin.

We'll probably be in a lull till next maintenance when we get fest info. All we can really do now is farm crystals, make artifacts and try to beat D??? torments till then.

I guess in other news Japan finally got Lunafreya as a playable character.



Now if only we could get Beowulf and Reis to round out the FFT roster.

Is it just me, or was Mirage Dungeon Akkad positively anemic compared to Baku? Except for the "whole party takes 90% of current health in damage", admittedly.

No the Dreams bosses get easier from here out, Enkidu was also cake compared to the earlier ones. The only challenge the later ones have is rare realms like 2, 14, 11 ect. Most notably there's going to be one for core Realm too which isn't gonna be fun unless you lucked out on Wedge/Biggs/Dr. Mog stuff somehow.

Ah, Ripper Plasma doesn't help me at all right now, I don't need it until I'm ready to take on Titan. Which will probably be a while, unless I 100 gem Lightning's AASB. The ability I need is Brothers, I wish it weren't so far off. Well, I guess Ripper Plasma might help me in some torment fights.

For Tactics, there's also Alicia, Lavian, and Ladd, and maybe like Construct-8 and a few others. Tactics has so many characters. Who do you think is the most significant character who's still not in the game? I say it's probably the 3 missing classes from FF1, but I might be forgetting someone.

I feel like the main reason Akkad being harder than Enkidu is because the T-0 cast is rather hodgepodge. Other than King/Queen being physical lightning and Carter working as an imperilbot everyone else does their own thing making it hard to make a Magicite deck. FFV's cast had much better synergy since you can make a strong earth/fire team with them (and Galuf/Gilgamesh/Krile chain to boot)

Beowulf and Ries are definitely the biggest snubs not playable yet, the game is almost 5 years old and they're the last two major playable characters across the casts of the main 17 games. The fact we got Olan playable before them still confounds me.

Reddas from 12 is long overdue as well

FF1 exists! There are six playable characters in the game and three aren't in Record Keeper yet. And they give us three characters who aren't even in the damn game but always seem to take up half the banner space in our rare FF1 events. Yeah, I'm a little annoyed about it.

Dena probably thinks the core versions represent the FF1 Black/White/Red mages already, the FF1 versions don't have distinct designs from the cores like the FF1 Thief does, I don't think we'll ever get them.

Yeah, this banner is good, but in my view next week's VI banner is a fair bit better. For that matter the black chocobo ice banner in a month is arguably better and that's practically another XIII banner since it's mostly Serah and Noel. VIII banners in 3 weeks are also both quite good.

I got a rainbow on the daily, Auron BSB1 I think. Commands suck but it provides an attack boost and 50% crit so maybe it will be useful in torment?

Personally I still think this FFXIII banner than the two mentioned, I already sub30 the FF6 torment, without a fire chain Locke's awakening doesn't have much use, and I already beat ice weak Odin so I don't really need Celes, Serah or Noel stuff. Already have Strago chain and Locke's AOSB as well, and my Raines definitely needs better tech than his old BSB+OSB combo.

Looks like we got a daily 5 mythril for a while, that's gonna make resisting pulling on that banner harder.

Dammit, I can almost beat Water Odin, but I can't seem to get past that little nudge. I run out of time on the countdown and out of meter/hones/Awakening by the time I get to that part. Ugh if only I had Noctis AOSB2. When Noctis' awakening runs out all he's good for is SSB spamming.



Guess I'm gonna have r5 Impulse Dive to replace Terra with Kain or something.

I actually got him! Yes! The trick was to use Terra's USB1 first then use Vali's for a while until she has enough meter for her Awakening, that way she still has her awakening mode in the third phase, and Noctis uses his SSB1 to squeeze out as many Vali's as she can during that time.



Phew! Glad to have that done. Guess I'll have to wait till next fest before I take on anymore Odins. Maybe Wind weak if I get Emperor's Awakening.

I got Eiko's dualcast legend Materia off the daily! Haven't gotten a useful relic in a long time off there, though since I already sub30 the D??? Torment this probably won't see much use.

Man I dreamed last night (or had a nightmare) that 7* Magicite were announced. I even thought that "how are they gonna top the iconic summons?!" But they were revealed to be the God Beasts from Seiken Densetsu 3/Trails of Mana to tie in with that remake for Switch.

Not sure if that would be a good thing or a bad thing...

I was hoping Celes would make it easy to finish my Deathgaze farming... I still haven't gotten 4 copies because he's such a pain. It turns out she doesn't break the damage cap even when he's not enraged and she does less than 5k per hit (with Healing Smite) when he is. Guess I'll just put that off some more, I don't think I need it urgently.

Kairi seems likely, but they've also been using a Dissidia Onion Knight sprite for FFRK merch and we still don't have that costume for whatever reason (and sadly at a point where OK isn't viable except as an entrustbot) So I wouldn't take it as a guarantee.

She'd probably fill the white mage niche for the KH realm since that's the only realm that doesn't have one.

Celes is better as a secondary DPS than a main one, and she sucks as a knight despite dual holy on her awakening (she is going to have her spellblade damage bonuses replaced with Physical damage bonus on her dives in the future though)

Her USB1 won't see any use if you have her awakening unless the fight is dragging out the 15 seconds, her USB2 with be your go-to secondary.

Anyone know if her USB2 will be in the next dream select? I realized she's not going to be that great if I can't give her enIce and I didn't get her LMR so the USB2 is the only way to do that.

If you do have her USB2+AASB she seems quite strong for ice because they complement each other and her LM2 means she should be able to generate enough SB gauge to use both.

It wasn't so much that Gilgamesh is hard it's more that's he's really freakin' annoying! Beating him is easy, but sub30ing is extremely RNG reliant on doublecasts. He barely attacks but he still makes you waste so much time constantly having to dispel him, Gogo and Krile can still cap on him when his defenses are up but I missed so many sub30 chances because he put up his Divine Readiness right before Bartz launches his AOSB. Thank god I never have to fight this bastard again!

(Also the reason I found out why Galuf was doing such little damage last time was because I forgot to legend dive him for stats, derp...)

That's 6 D??? sub30'd so far (3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 15) I'm also close to Anima Lens USB so a relic there might help me get another one. I was thinking maybe Aphmau since I've seen a lot of poverty 11 sub30's. I have Shantoto AOSB/USB/Glint, Lion BSB/USB, Prishe SSB, but no idea who to use for that last slot. I have Ayame BSB/LMR, Curilla Super and nothing for Zeid and Lilisette.

Yeah, Divine Readiness made it a real pain to get sub-30 on that one, especially since it's the first move of each phase so it's really hard to time your dispels.

I also have enough lenses for a relic but I'm not sure what to take. I've sub-30ed 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, and T. Also sub-40 on 8 and 14. Zidane might be nice. Ysayle might be enough to get me sub-30 on 14. I probably won't use my pick quite yet.

I pretty much just had Lenna spams dispels in the last third of the fight, and relied on Gogo's USB for instant last stand to keep the party alive so I could do more offense (also have to time it after Krile uses Meltdown or he'll do jack for damage.)

I tried farming the 1 stamina MP for greens tonight for the first time. It's not too bad, the content is easy enough to autobattle without much special setup (although I adjusted my team after the first two runs once I saw what was happening), but I only ran about 12 times total until I stopped seeing DVGs in my RW list. My greens supply has been dwindling since they switched to the new rewards so I'm probably going to have to do this from now on... at least it's also a good way to get Magia.

Well this account still holds true, I beat Ice Weak Odin but Syldra still gets me like half the time in the third phase even with Squall's Awakening and AOSB. Need more non-elemental crystals to hone up Ironfist Ice, I need to replace Sora or Aerith with Eight for those instant last stands.

Yeah I tried running Syldra with Celes's awakening and it was a failure. I need to set up a team that can autobattle some 5* magicite to get my monthly mission out of the way.
