Mr. Freeze.

Mostly post-DCAU, but even the weird one from the 60s Batman TV show was kind of neat in his own way.

Plus the cold puns are literally the only thing of value in the Batman and Robin movie.

Frank Gorshin as the Riddler. He always had a maniacal kind of energy and seemed to get more into the part than any other actor on the show.

I'm just sad we don't live in a world where they made a movie about the Riddler (played by David Tennant) based on the period/storyline when he wasn't a villain, because he decided that rather than proving his genius by outwitting Batman, he'd do it by becoming a private detective and solving the cases no one else could solve.

There was something really cool about the idea of this very clearly crazy person with obsessive-compulsive tendencies, getting off on beating super-villains solely with his brains and not brawn, and constantly having to fight the urge to just give in to his own insanity and become a villain again.

And then they shat that away like all their other recent good ideas when they did the New 52 reboot.

Of course, I also kind of liked the idea of The Penguin going "legitimate" rather than being a more traditional villain-type, up to and including working with the Birds of Prey (and having a weird creepy crush on one of them).

Granted, *most* of the B&R cast gave stellar, memorable performances!

tbh, a lot of people criticized Jim Carrey's performance given that it defied their modern perception when it so masterfully matched Frank Gorshin's energy.

Casting David Tennant as the Riddler would be a little too on the nose... plus something that like that might work better in a Suicide Squad movie, preferably after being defeated by Batman in a Batman movie. I would *love* to see a DCCU that's tied together by supporting characters like that rather than just one tied together by headliners.

That movie is almost entirely constructed solely out of one-liners. It is very, very aware of what it is.

And what it is is glorious. Possibly his best movie of the era in terms of sheer fun.

And I went as Dynamo for Halloween last year. It was a real bitch making the torso armor with all the lights in it. And the helmet fin was absolute hell.

It would have been Joker for me, but the silver age stuff and giving him an origin story killed any interest I had in him. He was much more interesting as a serial killer who had no motivation other then trying to be as chaotic as possible. I mean recently they have tried to bring him back to that but the Joker from my childhood still had that "zany" stigma to him and it is too little too late.

I guess Two Face, I never thought he had a horrible story-line. I even think his character was the best part of Batman Forever (well, other then "Holy Rusted Metal Batman!", that part made me laugh).
