Current Events > I had a nightmare last night and i think its a movie (low budget horror)

It was really weird and i cant really remember having watched it in real life, but the characters were really familiar, so maybe its a suppressed memory or something? I'll write down what i remember from the plot and maybe it will be something you guys remember having seen. I didnt manage to get anything familiar from google btw. And the dream was me watching this movie, having to turn away sometimes because of loud and weird gory scenes.

I cant remember much of the set-up, but around the middle a father comes and confronts his son about something from the past and some product that he uses in his food - the son gets really defensive and eventually violent, when pressed about the small plot of his land where he harvests these ingredients from. He ended up blacking out and dreaming some weird stuff (Hard to explain, but there was food involved that bled?) When he woke up, his father was gone. The police was eventually involved, but I can't remember how.
In the movie the stuff that was produced was called "stevia", which i believe to be a sugar substitute of some kind. That name felt out of place and i remember thinking that I probably couldn't remember the real name, so i replaced it. - I was actually fully aware that this was a dream, weirdly enough.... And it felt like i was rewatching something that i had forgotten.

Moving on: Towards the end, the son was still addicted to this stuff, "stevia" and everytime the officer/sheriff asked about where he got the food, it startled the son and he changed the conversation. There was also this scene where the officer/sheriff was investigating this place where he got the the food and the son changed personality and got angry. At this point the officer/sheriff wanted to know what had happened here before.

The end was a splatter (like amateurish bad horror) where this guy is confronted with what happened before. He had killed his wife and buried her in the garden, where he harvested this "stevia" and he had forgotten all about it. He was delusional about the past and had created a second personality (which the "stevia" triggered) and as he bled out, what happened came to him as a flashback. He now also remember that he killed his father when he confronted him.
The son looked a little bit like Jim Carrey, but he was always serious and didnt act or sound like him. A little bulkier, but the face was had some similarities.

Soooooo.... does anything from this weird story remind you of something you have watched before? For all i know it was two movies that i managed to compress into one - or a movie where my head filled in some plot. Or just a movie my head created with familiar characters from other movies xD

I normally dont remember my dreams at all and when I do, I'm in the story. It felt weird just watching a movie that i felt i had watched before in real life. Not a native English speaker btw, so when explaining a dream i had hours ago while also translating it into English can create some confusion. (the movie was set in the US i believe and they had American accents)
