Honestly, in my experience poor people are often victims of economies made exclusively for them that are exploitive. Everything is actually more expensive than the average consumer item. They get locked up in payday loans, monthly fees, etc. The rich have the advantage of paying cash for everything, which means they never have to deal with compounding interest. They also have the advantage of buying things new, which means they don't have to constantly be repaired.

Partially true. A lot of people are better off than others would think due to good spending habits. But no one is going to become a millionaire off this until they're almost ready to retire.

Not always. But I would say that lower/middle people class who end up retiring wealthy do so because they prioritize saving and investing.

Howard Stern did a game of "Homeless Jeopardy," it's on YouTube, where he got homeless people to answer basic questions (who's the vice president, what's 13 times 9, etc), and gave the winner $10,000. They checked up on the guy a week later, and it was all gone. The first thing he did was go into a clothing store and spend $700 on an ugly FUBU jacket and shoes that I don't think we're even his right size. They asked about the jacket, and he said it got stolen.

the whole concept of a show like that is extremely classist and it only serves to further stigmatize homelessness
