Basically, my friend got a month of free Crunchyroll, but he pirates everything, so he passed it to me. Thing is, I don't really know what to watch. I generally just watch stuff that Toonami airs, so I'm fairly casual with anime overall, but I'd like to get some use out of the free month.

For reference, some of my favorite animes include:
Fullmetal Alchemist (+ Brotherhood)
Hunter x Hunter
My Hero Academia
Death Note
Parasyte
Steins;Gate (haven't watched 0 yet though)
The Promised Neverland (though it's not finished on Toonami yet)
Blood Blockade Battlefront (Kekkai Sensen)

I was going to watch Death Parade since it was recommended to me once, but it seems that it was one of the shows that Crunchy lost the rights to last year. I'd also definitely be down to watch S;G0 if it's anywhere near as good as the original. Past that, I'm open for recommendations if anyone has any.

Trigun.

and if you like that, then Cowboy Bebop.

also, Gungrave, since it's by the creator of Trigun, and Samurai Champloo and Space Dandy, since it's by the guy behind Cowboy Bebop.

then Hellsing: Ultimate, since the lead is dressed similarly to the lead from Trigun.

then Berserk ('97 series or the Golden Age Arc), because it focuses on similar themes as Gungrave, and for that matter, 91 Days.

and if you like 91 Days, also check out Baccano

I saw most of YYH years ago, before it got moved around on CN a bit and I missed the last chunk. I'd be down to rewatch it, but IIRC it's a bit on the longer side? I'd ultimately rather watch a relatively shorter series if possible (definitely don't want to go over 100 eps, since it's just a month sub and I don't know how much time I'll have to watch stuff + I don't binge that much). I'll consider looking at it again, though.

I've seen Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, and Baccano. Great shows really. I'll keep the others in mind, though. Thanks for the recommendations.

I've seen bits of OP, and it seems good, but ultimately it's a bit too long, especially since the sub is only for a month.

I'll keep the others in mind. Thanks for the recommendations.

I saw Lain yeeeeeeears ago. I could see rewatching it, though, since I barely remember it beyond being pretty damn trippy near the end. I've seen Evangelion as well, though I recall it pretty well so I dunno if I'd rewatch it. Otherwise, I'll keep those in mind, thanks.

No Game No Life
The Rising of the Shield Hero
Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Katana Maidens - Toji No Miko
Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online
Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World
Saga of Tanya the Evil
Konosuba
Overlord
Kill La Kill
Tiger Mask W
Flip Flappers
Symphogear

All of these are available on Crunchyroll subbed, but some of them may have English dubs (like No Game No Life or Gun Gale Online) or more episodes (like Kill La Kill's special epilogue or the entire 4th season of Symphogear) that are only available elsewhere.

Not Anime but Justice League is pretty awesome.

Also here's my recomendations

Youjo Senki

Anime you want to avoid:

Lately there have been a lot of chinese anime that really leave bad taste in your mouth. It was jarring to hear the chinese dub as opposed to japanese. Please never trust people who told you chinese anime are good. They sucks and usually has worse visual than berserk and Hand Shackers. The chinese has tendency to make over flashy and relies on special effects without regard to the quality of the story.

Oh, I totally forgot about this one. I heard really good things about it like a year or so ago, but I never watched it. I may check that out first, since I kind of wanted to watch it back then.

I may also consider Yuri on Ice. That show looks adorable from what I've seen. I've also seen so much fanart of the two main characters together, which makes it even cuter.
