Not a lot here, just a bit bored while A Plague Tale installs. There was a while there where I was not playing a lot of games, and I've been working towards shifting that.

Sundered - Aesthetically rad, but not really digging it. Just doesn't feel as good as it looks. Kind of makes me want to play Outlast again.

Dead Cells - real damn cool and a blast to play when you get a good run, but reinforces my lack of interest in the run based genre. I beat the game on the first difficulty....so I beat the game. Will be a while before I can bring myself to go back.

What Remains of Edith Finch - really enjoyed playing this. Free on PS+, but I would have gladly paid for it. Makes me interested in checking out more of the "Walking Simulator" genre, to see what I've been missing. Sadly, it led to me buying Firewatch, which I'm not really digging so far.

Sekiro - The nature of this game made me realize that I'm basically done with seeking out difficulty in games, and that the only reason I like playing Souls games is that they all had exploits early on to get mad huge that I always took advantage of, and you can't do that here. It's a shame because it's impossible not to recognize the talent and craft at play here, but I can't say I want to go back after getting half way through.

Trails of Cold Steel - After Tokyo Xanadu I became interested in checking out this series even more, but got a bit worried by how much I hate the Ys VIII demo and how I couldn't get into the first Sky game at all. Looks like I had little to worry about, because this is a DAMN fine RPG. Should be repetitive as hell, but it's not, and really goes to show how interesting writing and good characters can even make a game that looked cheap and old on PS3 still shine through. Especially a relief considering what a joke jRPGs have been for these last few years with rare exception.

VA-11 HALL-A - I'm coming off this one hot, but this almost certainly a top 10 game for me. The writing was appealing beyond basically anything else out there, stupid jokes and absurd dialogue that's still grounds these characters in a way that I could keep going for 5 times the length if need be. Truly an all time great, so glad it finally hit consoles so I could play it. If I had to compare it to something...really made me feel like I did reading Homestuck in it's prime.

Zanki Zero - a real confusing one, because the game is...awful? It's inoffensive at first, but it becomes absolutely horrendous to play. So I turned it onto easy mode...where it's not a game anymore. Yeah, there's still the puzzles, but they give you most solutions, and the combat is removed. Still, I grew extremely invested in the story and characters, and the ending left me actually sobbing. In private, of course, but still.

Superhot - I'll get heat for this one. If you play a demo of this game, you've played the game. It doesn't have anything else. It's a lot of fun for like 10 minutes, but this shouldn't be an actual think you pay money for.

Titanfall 2 - an odd duck, because as everyone knows this game has a damn fine shooter campaign....but I found once I was done that I felt nothing for having played it. I sense a repeating pattern here, regarding the games I'm starting to care about...with one exception of course...

Apex - Please help. I finally kicked Overwatch to the curb, but I'm back into yet another abusive relationship.

A Plague Tale is done now.

A Plague Tale beaten.

That was VERY good.

Even if it went a bit off the rails towards the end....and crashed into another train at the very end...

This is true but the VR version is where it's at. It's elevated so high that it's essentially a different game.

Yeah I played Superhot VR for 4 hours straight once and completely ruined my legs for a week because of much crouching I was doing. Amazing experience would recommend

I think I have a friend of a friend with VR who owns it, may need to figure out the next time he's stopping by.

I know it's only a publisher connection, but after A Plague's Tale I've been wondering about Vampyr.
