As someone mentioned in another topic, he's well versed in sitting around doing nothing already. So it's thematically appropriate that he sits there doing nothing so the Game of Thrones can ultimately continue!

He kind of says that history is made up of stories and everyone loves a good story and that Bran knows the entire story/history of Westeros.

So yes. It's kind of saying, Bran should be the best to learn from histories mistakes because hes all the knowledge of it.
