i guess im going to have to start following the snow. i hate to think that i might be doing this for the rest of my life, but with the heat even broaching the high seventies my wife and i both have a much harder time getting around.

fucking knee was just starting to feel "normal" after surgery too

i hear it snows in the mountains in new Zealand in june and july. fuck it.

My dad seems to do okay in Arizona. Maybe it's the heat with humidity? He really had a difficult time in NY.

i donno, im in colorado and its pretty dry here.

only 74 out right now but goddamn, if i spend more than a few minutes in the sun all my shit starts coming back

some people do for sure have more susceptibility to that sort of ms heat fatigue. might have something to do with whatever climate youre used to living in, which i guess i dont really have at the moment...

yeah, and sadly she is in much worse shape than i am. took a lot longer for her diagnosis than mine, which is super frustrating.

Interested. He had a really hard time in NY with the heat there but here he seems pretty okay. I mean his MS is progressing as usual but he hasn't had any exacerbations in quite a while.

its not so much that it makes the disease progress (although it will if you push yourself to hard), its more that the symptoms from previous flare ups that may have remitted start to come back.

That is winter here, and as a guy in my 30s, I've seen snow three times in my life.

It can cause a flare up to happen as well according to my wife's neurologist.

100% can, but like i said it usually requires a bit more for that.

"following the snow" is just a term for following the winter, but like i said, something in or near the mountains could be good.

Yeah, you would find snow in the right places. I'm helped by living in the North Island, the South Island tends to get far more snow.

Yeah heat isn't what bogs you, it's the little bits of sweat on your skin not evaporating because the air is saturated.

This stuff works wonders, I used to work work in a restaurant where would average 110F inside and with the dishwasher machine/triple sinks/steamer/tilt skillet/steam table and more running full blast the entire day it could sometimes rain from the ceiling in the kitchen. Seriously sometimes it was so humid inside that kitchen visibility would be like 30 feet, couldn't see coolers at the other side of the kitchen.

I used to think body powder was just for babies but after a few years of working without it someone left it in the employee restroom and I just went ham on it and everything was better. I couldn't believe how painless walking around could have been for me all that time, wish I used it sooner.
