With Rom-Coms now past the honeymoon phase, it's time to move on to our next project: 1990s Horror Films! Much like the 2000s list, the 90s Horror list aims to provide a comprehensive snapshot of the decade's best, most influential, successful, and iconic films. The list covers many sub-genres of horror ranging from the splatter film to the ever-popular comedy horror flick, and in my opinion, the 90s were the king of this type of genre melding and experimentation, often actively rebelling against classification in the traditional sense. Also notable about the 90s is the decline of slashers who ruled the 80s, with several films here that critically analyze new standings and irrelevancy to a modern film landscape. Elsewhere, typically cheesy sci-fi threats made a huge comeback, running the gamut from huge snakes to swarming spiders. Finally, on the opposite end of the spectrum, the 90s were also huge for genuine critical attention in the genre, garnering the first ever (and thus far only) Best Picture victory for a horror movie.

While I know full well horror isn't the most liked genre around here, I urge everyone to keep their minds open and try their best to enjoy the list! I think there's genuinely something for everyone here, even more so than the 2000s list.

Being in the gauntlet mood lately, I decided to update the Movie Characters gauntlet. This new update contains 221 characters from movies all released last year. I also cleaned up and removed many tags, MCU and Horror tags should be fully playable, with more to come in the future. I hope to do one of these every couple of months, and anyone can suggest movies for me to pull from if you feel inclined.

still 6 writeups done. Falling a bit behind here, but the plan is to have somewhere between 20 and 25 done before char and I take our road trip to New Orleans. We're aiming for 25, but 20 will at least put us in the ballpark of finishing by the original deadline. We're really trying not to be the ones that have to push the project back, I swear.
