Based on his edit I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. Looking at Victoria, she has been on the right side of the votes every time and yet due to her subdued edit I think she loses in the F3.

Yeah I'm definitely starting to get winner vibes from Rick. I agree with Centurion that Victoria is giving me F3 loser vibes (earlier she was giving me winner vibes) and Julie has given me those vibes from the start. She reminds me quite a bit of Monica Culpepper, albeit much more dynamic and likable.

I'm guessing Rick > Julie > Victoria.

And the worst thing is that this is going to validate buyback twists in the eyes of the producers.

Im actively starting to dread a Rick win right now, because its looking like he would be a somehow-LESS deserving champion than Ben, yet the edit is so shitty for everyone else, I cant imagine another winner.

My only hope is that the end result is something SO unpalatable to the producers (which is still a possibility, given four boots in a row of big players/strategists) that they just threw their hands up and opted to focus more on interesting personalities over the eventual winner.

I'm not a big Rick Devens fan but man this was a great episode for him. The 'awkward' comments after catching Aurora going through his bag combined with his tribal performance were highly entertaining.

I'm not sure who can even win besides him now tbh. Everyone feels like a goat to me. I'm rooting for Lauren, but I don't know that she has gotten much credit for all of the Lesu victories. Victoria is the only person from Kama I've ever thought seems smart enough to pull of the win, but everyone has said, man is she in the background edit wise.

He'd be less deserving than Ben because he was voted out before anyone knew the buyback existed. It might be a little different if he were voted out post-merge and became the late game buyback because EoE was known to the players at that point so there is some strategy in who to send and when, as well as potentially some strategy in letting yourself get sent there, however dumb that strategy is. But he was voted out pre-merge under normal circumstances with the expectation that he was going to Losers Lounge.

It's why Wendell isn't automatically Ben-tier because the format change was known to the contestants on 36 from the start.

Ben was playing a solid game through the final eight. Its just that he was playing against smart people who understood he was a threat, so he got targeted for the final four rounds of the game. Yeah, his win is still bullshit, but he was a decent player early on. If Rick wins, that means he succeeded on the back of immunity wins, idol wins, the fire-making most likely, AND the EoE twist.

I'm not sure if I should be glad EoE is in play, which means it's basically still the F7, so Rick would need 3 more idols/immunities to reach the F4, or if I should fear it because the returning player may help Rick, or act as a buffer for him.

I'd be cool if Rick didn't find idols or win immunity and still reaches the end (although I'm not rooting for him due to EoE anyway), but I'm not looking forward to another Ben-streak the rest of the way. It would tank the endgame, the editing, the episodes, the suspense, blah.

i really dont like eoe at all and hope they dont do more stuff like that in the future but i think the cast this year in general has been underwhelming. not a fan of returning players anyway unless it's an allstar type season

I only see it being underrated if Rick wins, like HvHvH and Ben. If anything it'll be overrated if Rick loses, like South Pacific is because Coach lost.

South Pacific is usually in the bottom 10 or worse. B8 had it at 3rd worst I think. Most super fans dont like it. Id say its definitely not overrated.

No matter the outcome it is in the 30s and that's simply because for the first time, even with the "little amount of character development" I require, they failed to me make me overly invested in the main game. And I dont think that's actually the main games characters fault, I think because the other players werent gone gone I wasnt forced to find a new favorite. I'm thinking like 34 but I typically like to wait and see and rewatch knowing the story they try to tell as opposed to trying to figure out the week to week.
