Ever since I got Liana, I started clearing maps way faster and more easily. I don't know how I got by without her and never want to go back.

Also, Liana, Lana, Luna, Cherie, Freya is tearing up Arena for me, even when I'm outleveled. Not a lot of counters to having Lana break your guard and Cherie get Act Again'd into your back line.

I've hit the point where I'm consistently low on gold. Upgrading weapons can be pretty expensive

I invested in the 600ish crystals for 1.2 million gold thing. It was a solid investment that has gotten me far.

Just do all the goblin levels, do all the gold events, do the trials, and be careful with what you spend money on. Also get as many of the 2000 silver ore 120k packs as you can (if you alchemy rare items you get 100 ore a pop)

The crystals for gold deal does not sound good to me either. I'm not in that much of a rush to obtain it.

Gold for Crystals I think will be super good. After you have all the characters you want. I've seen how many Crystals the CN players are sitting on compared to their gold supplies. But I'd rather summon right now.

For all my bitching about bad roll rates too, it is very doable even without good gacha luck. I think I have the lowest SSR rate in the topic and I'm still clearing 60+ content and Nightmare in guild wars.

One thing that I don't think has been said so far but should be. Don't roll for SSR equipment. You can get it as normal drops and get from the store with farmable tokens unlike SSR heroes.

The game is very friendly with giving you tickets/crystals too. I'm almost 550 rolls into it and I've spent like $4 total (which got me like 4 rolls). And I also wasted a lot of my crystals on the lotto event for a skin (and more so the runestone). So it's possible to be entirely free to play even though it is a gacha game

Focus banners are also super good in this game. Best gacha feature I've ever seen, really. Getting a guarantee to draw something from the banner with your first SSR drop is nice.

Just the vanilla banners have pretty generous on banner rates too. And you only ever need to draw one-- drawing more copies just lets them advance quicker.

Related my Lana is getting somewhat close to 6*. Does anyone know what happens when you hit a 6* for drops? Do you stop drawing that character or am I gonna get a random 50 Lana Shards later I have no use for.

I believe a shop opens up where you can trade extra character shards for items. I haven't seen it though.

Additional shards get converted to memory shards instead and a new shop opens up where you can use them. You can purchase rune stones and SSR gear but I don't think the exchange rates are good

Unfortunate. I guess a SSR drop will get you 50 of them but I imagine once I start getting a few 6* units I'm going with Focus Banners exclusively.

Also I'll say that one thing I'm less thrilled about is that the friendship gacha in this game really sucks. FGO certainly wins on that front. The hero summon is more generous though.

R Shard = 1 Memory Shard (so 5 per dupe)
SR Shard = 10 Memory Shards (so 200 per dupe)
SSR Shard = 30 Memory Shards (so 1500 per dupe)

It's an outlet for more Rune Stones I guess. I think that's the only thing you should ever buy as it'll be difficult to get 3500 shards per month and that's the only truly valuable resource in there.

Kinda unexciting otherwise.

I mean technically you can farm one a month then since you could farm 270 shards a day if you didn't give a shit about upping the stars on other people and had 3+ people at 6*. Granted I doubt many people do that

Huh. Actually I'd do that. It only takes about 10 days to farm it. Rune Stones are valuable.

Will probably stop doing all the dailies fairly often now. 30 crystals not a huge deal. On the other hand most of them seem important to do for team progression so I expect myself to fall into the trap of "well I'm so close may as well do this bonding mission..."

Had some good pulls today. Got Goddess Tear off the macho lotto fairly painlessly, and also bought my SSR accessory with honor for a Lone Star Armlet. Though I've already raised Cherie's Slayer's Emblem up to 40, the Lone Star Armlet is probably better when I'm not specifically trying to kill fliers. Lots of good SSR items and I'm still short on hammers and spirits to upgrade them.

I'm finding SSR items to be the big crunch now for me. Like I have all my main guys in 40+ SR gear and I need to get SSR gear to like 30-40+ in order to see an improvement but SSR gear just doesn't want to drop.

The plus point is I do have 2x level 50 SSR weapons (Last Knight on Leon, Peacemaker on Cherie) and I could 50 a 3rd (Miracle Staff on Imelda) soon. I also have a 50 Aeneas Helmet. The downside is I have shit for SSR accessories

The other positive is that all my exp pots can just go to extra people now. The same with all the materials from time rifts and guild wars (and I get 10k+ guild currency a week since we double clear Nightmare). So within like 2 weeks I'll probably have 13-15 people at 60 and class mastered. Right now I have 8 (Leon, Bern, Vargas, Imelda, Liana, Cherie, Almeda, Elwin with Sonya almost done too)

Oh and I still don't have a good sword, bow / weapon for Archers/Assassins. I have my Bern using an SR 50 Mythril Sword and Elwin using the ATK hammer. I have my Zerida using a Bathory which whilst passable is like her worst passable weapon. Technically I have a Hydra Bow too but that is basically the same thing.

Sounds like Sakura Taisen is confirmed as the next collab event for the CN version. No familiarity with that series, but at least it's good they're doing more collabs.

Yeah I've had really bad luck with SSR Weapons too. Lots of staves but they're all the mediocre +healing defense debuff thing. Only weapon I've got I wanted so far is the blue orb and the red orb staff of +Int/HP and +Int/Res

Really want some of the bows for Zerida and Varna and eventually Luna maybe (may just keep her flier though)

My weapon luck has been decent. Two Extreme Magic Bows is quite good but I don't have a suitable user for them yet. I have a Seal Guardian, two Purgatories, a Blue Moon and a few others I don't use.

I should probably pull for Zerida next time to put that bow to use.

I just mastered Luna's flying class. The next thing ought to be switching her to archer, but it feels like Ullr's is essentially mandatory. Otherwise I guess I'm using Nighthawk? Real lack of options due to atk being useless.

I only do the ones that give gold (since you can often clear those in 1-2 turns by abusing teleport and again if you have it) or crystals/tickets. The rest seem like too much of a gamble for the 10 stamina.

I mean in that some seem to be absurdly difficult. I was doing ones that were two levels below me and enemies were just one shotting some of my strongest units. And they were normal units, not hero ones.

I usually try to do the gold cheese, but there weren't any when I wanted to finish my missions. I eventually got through with a mission that seemed far easier than the others (don't ask me how or why).

It was just extremely frustrating since it was the last mission I needed today and I won't have time to wait around for an easy one later.

I'm not 100% on this but I'm pretty sure you can just redo one of the story missions if you really just want the mission

At least I know you can do the random encounters that serve as bridges between story missions, if you had any of those up.

The crystal/ticket ones tend to be hard, but if lower level normal enemy troops are one shotting your units, you may be behind on some things.

I think the only story mission I had left was the one where it's all demon and lava golem units, and then when you get to the harpy at the end, a ton of harpies show up. I did not feel like tackling that again.

That said, almost to level 50. Not sure what to expect from there on!

Yeah I've literally never had lower level generic enemy units one shot mine. I'm guessing you probably haven't been building your soldiers up well since that's what I tend to notice as the weakness in enemy arena teams and teammates most of the time. You should generally be focusing harder on three of the six soldier classes if for Aniki rather than spreading it out evenly.

I think the only thing I could be behind on now are maybe some classes (some are tier 3 level 2 and some level 1), and then maybe some gear? I have most of them at 20-30.

Ideally your main tank will have Phalanxes or Lava Golems at level 5+ and your main DPS will have Angels at level 4+ at where you are. Other troops less important, but those two are critical.

Gear isn't often going to be make or break-- SR lvl 30 items can get you through most content. Class progression (though if you're at tier 3 across the board that wouldn't likely be it) and composition (are you running a faction + faction buff or at least using mass protect + attack?) would be more likely. But most likely would be again, soldiers.

My main tank has Phalanx, and my main healer has Lava Golems. I don't think I have anyone with angels, although I guess I can try to build Leon there since he's the only one I use who can get it? Other options are Cherie and Matthew who I have leveled or Narm or Creepy tan guy.

What faction are you running then? Cherie or Leon isn't your main DPS? Usually it's one or the other.

Edit: Or if it is Leon, then yes, Angels are good on him.

I run Empire's Honor. Although with some effort I could probably swap to the pink crown one with all the ladies. I could have a solid team with them.
