no, the only thing I failed was parallel parking. And I mean I was so far from the curb that you could fit a motor cycle between my car and the curb. But the guy was cool with it considering no where in our city really needs to parallel park

Just the actual driving test, it was easy. Its for regular license and CDL. Though, the wall-around for the CDL was brutal...

I failed the first time because of that. The douchebag tried to claim "driver intervention" because I waited half a second at a green light and he said the light was green.

I failed my first one. It was at 6AM, and I stayed up till like 4AM arguing on the internet and got like no sleep since it was a 40 minute drive to the course. LOL.

No. Granted, I was 25 at the time and had already a good understand of what not to do. I missed a couple points because I used the rear view camera instead of my mirrors.

The lady that gave the driver's test in the closest town to us was know as Robo Lady, teens almost NEVER EVER passed on their first try. I was one of the few that did pass it first try. I'd say 4 out of 5 failed their first tries with her.

There was only 1 thing I messed up on and to this day I still remember that 1 thing and see others mess it up all the time.

It has to do with intersections and turning left at the lights. You are to go up to the middle of the light so when the on coming traffic clears you can turn right away. And it gives cars behind you room to go around you and not stop traffic flow.

People that sit at the line and don't move up after a light goes Green just annoy the hell out of me, MOVE UP so we can go around.

I want to say no but I did auto-fail the first time for bumping the curb while parallel parking. Everything else was easy, and I breezed through the second attempt.

No. I passed my first time but I can imagine some folks are in such a panic that they forget the more basic rules/laws (i.e. buckle your seatbelt, stop at the first Stop sign at the DMV, etc.). I think my only minor mistakes were taking the turns either too fast or slow and driving either too fast or slow in general.

Kinda cheat though I'd say. When it came time to do the parallel parking, the car belonged to my instructor and he had a marker on the rear windshield. Using that as a guide I managed to parallel park without hitting the curb. It was a very visible marker so I can only assume the examiner allowed it.

That was how I almost failed my CDL test. The highway speed limit was 65. I was going like 55-60 because it was windy and there was road work. After the test, she said she could have failed me for driving to slow on the highway. But passed because she assume I was nervous...

Yes, but only because the first two times I took it, no one ever taught me how to parallel park. The third time I took the test was at one of the hardest locations in my state, but I passed it easily because someone finally taught me how to PP.

I'd consider myself a good/safe driver. I've been driving for almost 8 years now and thankfully I don't have a single accident or traffic ticket under my belt.

The test was easy, but the examiner my first couple times was the bitch who was only ever there to fail as many people as possible. As soon as the examiner changed, I earned the license with such ease and chill.

I had to take the written test twice. Not sure how I fucked up. No problem with the driving test - even though I did it with my parent's station wagon. Worst possible car to take a driving test in. Might as well had a tractor trailer. Even parallel parked in it.

It was easy.

The problem I had was watching the girl who went after me with another instructor not be able to pull into a parking spot and almost hit my car multiple times as she was struggling before the instructor got out and parked her car for her.

-.- she got her license.

I failed the first 2 times just because of the reverse round the corner bit. Luckily the examiner the 3rd time didn't ask to do that one. Everything else was fairly simple.

My dad is a cop and he was there with me and he said something like "She was probably just nervous" I'm just responded "how hard is it to pull into a spot?" and the conversation ended there if I remember correctly.

I barely passed mine using my mom's giant car.

The theme from interstellar was playing in my head when I just barely dodged all the cones I couldn't see. I had maybe two inches of space, no exaggeration.

I had a douchebag examiner my 1st time too. It was a hot summer day, I was 18 years old. First thing I did was try to be polite in asking how the guy was and he immediately barked "TURN ON THE AIR CONDITIONING. ARE YOU TRYING TO SUFFOCATE ME?" just 2 seconds after I turned on the engine. I was startled and figured he was already out to get me.

Then during the test, I came across an intersection where I had a stop sign and the cars going east/west had no stop signs. With my luck, I had to sit there for like a whole minute because of a lot of traffic and there was no chance to turn left. Basically, I wasn't about to force a turn and risk crashing. When I finally turned, the instructor said "You seem very unsure of yourself". I was stunned at this point but I knew he was finding every little thing to nitpick.

Then when we got back before he took off his seat belt he immediately said "You're going to have to re-take the exam in a few months".

I remember being bummed out that I got such a jerk examiner. I retook it a few months later after and got a nice lady. Easy peasy really. Bottom line is... if you get stuck with a douchebag, good luck...

Not at all. I drove regularly for several months with my permit. The road test was just more driving that I had already gotten used to. Unless you're one of those people that didn't bother following the rules when you were practicing then you shouldn't have any trouble with the road test.
